I expect I tire you out asking dumb questions like, "How do I post a picture, again?" So here is your chance to inform newbies and less-technologically gifted on how to do fun stuff.

I'm in the market for a laptop a few guys @ my job recommend Toshiba... obviously I'll be doing some research of my own but, I was looking for a little direction =)

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 ·

toshiba is great with repairs, should they need repairs. also they pay for 2 day shipping. i process them all the time. they're good with that stuff.

web-toedchloe web-toedchloeOG 2001 ·

We just got a new toshiba from www.tigerdirect.com. It was refurbished, so we had a few issues, but the warranty covered everything. Admittedly, it was a little bit of a hassle, but it was literally $1,000 less than book value. If you want to be frugal, refurb from that site is a good way to go.

Toshiba is the worst for technical support in my opinion... but if that doesnt bother you, they build sturdy laptops. Personally, i like dells and Ibms

web-toedchloe web-toedchloeOG 2001 ·

I concur. Definitely make sure there's an authorized toshiba repair shop nearby or you'll start to hate yourself if there's a problem.

originalsnob originalsnobOG 2004 ·

Hmmm... the two guys I talked to actually said "Dells are crap." I can't say one way or the other but, I was looking into Dell before this whole Toshiba thing + the company is somehow tied to Dell so we get a discount. I think warranty came under fire or repairs...

sunshyne sunshyneOG 2004 ·

thatdarngirl thatdarngirlOG 2002 ·

You do it like this using the new colored tags that randomly showed up on my screen when I came on today!!

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder ·

actually i guess its worse, because i'm only a semi geek, which means i'm rejected by both geeks and non-geeks. whats the point of being a geek if u don't go all the way?

tinser tinserOG 2002 ·

hahaha, whats the point of being geek if you don't go all the way...classic...go big or go home!

sunshyne sunshyneOG 2004 ·

i figured you might vote for yourself. since you claimed to be a nerd someplace, i read.

specialk specialkOG 2003 ·

I am not voting, because I refuse to call any of my friends a geek......to their face anyways. :)

yay yayOG 2004 ·

so what do you mean you're too good to call us dorks?? thats unbelievable

specialk specialkOG 2003 ·

Oh never. I'm a HUGE dork, myself, and I'm the first to admit it. :)

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002 ·

sunshyne sunshyneOG 2004 ·

added. btw-did you notice and appreciate the impartial alphabetic order?

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002 ·

yea it annoyed me.

yay yayOG 2004 ·

this always confused me, someone make a rule on how to alphabetize 'the' already

sunshyne sunshyneOG 2004 ·

i followed the ezabel form. but if you are going to ignore the "the" it would be appropriate to type "funky fresh, the"

sunshyne sunshyneOG 2004 ·

yay wasnt up there bc i thought yay=i like birds. when i said ezabel for dummies, i guess i was talking bout myself.

so what do you do if you have a picture, and it's not uploaded anywhere, where should we turn to upload our images?

sunshyne sunshyneOG 2004 ·

ian recommends: imageshack.us

flomojopoanode flomojopoanodeFounder ·

there should be some weird little picture of ian looking through a magnifying glass, and around his head it should say "Ian Recommends..." or "Ian Approved". I usually get all my stuff Ian approved. ALL of it.

sunshyne sunshyneOG 2004 ·

itd be like the good housekeeping seal of approval or inspected by iwz

sunshyne sunshyneOG 2004 ·
