hehe that's pretty cool... but it has to boot up every time you turn on the car? looks like a full boot, too... maybe not tho. but that would kinda stink
Oh yes, I have seen this. I should've clicked on your link before I made my comments. Coo tho. Very. This was one I was comtemplating. Still unsure totally about what I'll do.
Haven't heard of this, but I've been with the intention of putting a PC in my car for ages. And, within the past couple months that intention has renewed and grown stronger. I'll hafta check this thing out. So far I've purchased DeLorme GPS to work into my wanted setup... and the other stuff is to follow. Hopefully soon enough follow.
yeah. I was working on a similar idea. I had a computer in my car like 4 years ago. ask I.like.birds.
right now my dvr/media player pc in my living room is using the same motherboard as the VoomPC. I might end up getting another one of those and building a pc for my car, but thats a pretty nice case, its tempting.
also - i may not have said this before - i love engadget RSS feeds, i know about things the instant they happen in the geek world
haha, engadget is on my google homepage, as well as on my google desktop "web clips"
this seems excessive - plus it has no OS
Donovan wants to put a pc in his convertible. He wanted to carve out some of the dash and put an LCD in it with all the engine info and readings and other stuff. We'd better not tell him about this, because he'll be pissed that he didn't patent another one of his ideas.
Yeh, That's what I'm gonna soon begin work on for my car.
