Cd Burning

reaf by reafOG 2002 · Dec 4, 2005 · 71 views

Question.

I have been having problems with cd burning lately.
I am not sure if it is the Burner, The Cd, or the Photo's.

What happens is I will burn like 150-170 photo to a cd. Burns fine everything goes through great. no errors what so ever.

But when i got to view the cd in thumbnail form one of two things will happen. Half or some of the photos will view before it freezes, or the whole cd will freeze the pc and i have to eject it or if I view it in list view and view each photo seperatly i can only view certain photos.

Any ideas?

When i burn to Dvd I NEVER have this problem, thats why I wish more people had Dvd's in there pc.Then I could use just once disk, cd's sometimes its like 4 or 5. and I never know if the cd will work untill I burn it.

ANy suggestions? Thanks!

On a similar subject I have this cd that I is damaged (scratched/chipped) but, it only has a problem playing the second half of this one song.
I tried to rip it thinking there's no connection between the cd itself being damaged and copying the song file but, I can't do it and I REALLY REALLY want the song... any suggestions?

I heard toothpaste will solve the problem.

i would recommend trying different CDs first, a lot of times cheap CDs have problems

have you tried applying ketchup to the monitor screen? I mean that doesn't help so don't do it.

Have you tried a different brand of CD-R?

Have you tried burning slower?

could have something to do with the buffering for your cd drive. the dvd buffer may be larger. if you don't get this freezing problem with the same pics viewed from the hard disk (or the dvd), i'd check to see if u can change the buffering for the cd drive. (don't ask me where that is...)
