Safari
Any idea why when I post Safari pops another window (blank) and does not refresh my current page with my new post? Maybe I should just stick with Firefox.
EDIT: Ok so posting a new thread is fine, but when I post a reply to soemthing is when it happens.

modestjesse had a brief stint with Russian language lessons, but it seems he only retained basic phrases like asking someone's name and stating his own. Monster, a long-time lurker, somehow discovered this tidbit and brought it up in the discussion.

This is the link my blank page goes to when I reply:

Safari must be incompatible. :/
try firefox
I noticed the same thing, plus the rollovers don't work in Safari.
BTW Jesse are you running a intel machine yet... if so have you tried WINE with WTLIB? Any success?
Nope, just running a G4 Powerbook.
Too bad.. was hoping to find someone that had tried it and got it to work. :-)
I am planning to switch all the PPC computers when the MacBook is out.
Thanks
What's WINE anyway?
Well, even with the Macbook, isn't it dual boot? I don't know if you'll be able to just alt-tab through to windows and OS 10.
I do have the library on my Powerbook. In fact, it's the only reason I bought Virtual PC, so I can start up XP in a window. It eats memory, I dedicate 512 MB to it, but it's fine for just running the WT library.
WINE is a replacement for windows developed mostly for Linux. They are slowly recreating the windows guts(sorry don't know the techical jargon).
For us Mac users we use Darwine.

The best part is it is running not in a whole OS of its own (lie it is in X11). But the speed should be awesome.
I got Mac mini a while ago, I got minesweeper & couple of other small apps to go, but not the library yet.
Your sidekick (hiptop) GSM?
You're killing me, I'm not that much of a geek. :P What's GSM?
Who is Monster anyway?
I would like to get a Mac Mini with the Intel duo to be connected to a TV to control playing the movies I have in mp4 formats. Then I could have my own type of Media Center through that. I'm also toying around the idea of building a Myth TV box.
GSM = Global System for Mobile Communications [The phone system that the rest of the world uses(exceptions Korea & Japan)] If I didn't know you were just a little of a geek.... I would have just asked you if you have a little chip in your phone? lol
Monster = Long time lurker, first time caller. Live in Vancouver stumbled on ezabel a long, long time ago, read it like a soap-opera, find it absolutly facinating.
I have the mini you decribe doing just that! It works awesome, trailers in 720p look awesome... had to get a new TV just cuz. (Sony Bravia XBR1, sweet)
OK now U got me what is a Myth TV box?
Myth TV works just like Tivo but it's free. You build the computer and run it on a linux box. If you go into iTunes and search podcasts for Systm or go to the Revision 3 website you'll find an episode where they describe how to build it. There are packages you can download which have linux and the software you need right in them.
Once you have it all in place you have the box connected to the internet and it will automatically download all the programing guide information.
It looks pretty cool. And then you could add multiple video cards to record multiple channels at the same time.
But how did you know I had a sidekick? :P
Aha! I could tell you but I would have to... so cliché!
I added your AIM name and it is your availibliity status 'Mobile (Hiptop)'
No biggie.
You speak Russian? Odd question... I know. But I found some modestjesse.com references that google still had cached.. on a Russian website. { I waste alot of time, lol }
Are you serious? That site got shut down on my over a year ago. I was taking lessons on it a few years ago. I only know how to ask what a persons name is and say my name is.
if you go the Myth route, check out KnoppMyth. thats what I used for my media-center PC I have hooked up to my TV. Super easy installation, and good support forums. downloaded TV episodes look so nice.
