Big things, plays MP3's, better camera, bluetooth enabled.
It's still ugly.

Well I've decided to return it. I'm really not that thrilled with it overall. They tease you with capabilities but don't give them to you. My Razr can do more of the things I want and I decided to just stick with that.
I ranted a bit about it here:
looks like this thing can wipe out credit cards in like 2 seconds with its ridiculous magnet.

Check the below link out it has reviews for the sk3 and the specs.
I saw the demo at T-Mobile and after playing with it I wasn't considering it worthy of an upgrade. But I do carry two phones right now, a Razr and a SK II. I wanted to get away from that and was going to cancel my SK II since the contract is up this month. But I text a lot and I can't go back to using a normal phone for text messaging. On top of that my friend broke her SK II and can't afford to replace it. So I decided to get the SK III and pass on my II to her.
It's coming in next week. This way I can replace it with my Razr, sell my Razr, and still have my SK. I just wish it would get slimer. I want a SK that's the same size of the Razr, what's so hard about that?
I was looking at the Motorola Q but Sprint plans don't fit what I need.
I'm getting a Q in Oct. Can't wait.
the Q is only on Verizon. The data plans on VZW are $24.99 for 10MB and $44.99 for Unlimited, which is ridiculous. However, you don't HAVE to have a data plan with a Q (or any other data device), you can JUSt use it for text messaging if you want.
Alternatively, Sprint's unlimited data plan is $15 - which is cheaper than T-Mobile. Maybe something to think about?
wow, sprint is cheap! how's the service?
Yeah, I meant verizon, not sprint.
I like having email and web functionality so data plan is wanted for me.
have you got it? they contacted me for the SKII upgrade prior to launch, but i haven't heard anything about this one.
Yes, I have it, been using it for a few days now. Feelings are kind of mixed so far. I seem to be having issues that I had with the original sidekick. My signal goes in and out more often and when it goes out I have a hard time getting it back, could just be the area but I don't recall having those problems with the other SK II.
The music player is pretty nice, it plays mp3's and sounds really clear with head phones.
The new track ball is so much better than the wheel on the previous models. Navigatoin on web pages is easier and you can open folders in mail or move through applications by scrolling left or right now which is cool.
I hate that none of the ring tones I had on either my Razr or my SK II are not available with this phone.
The keypad feels a bit nicer. It was weird at first but I really like it now.
One new feature, I guess they put in to extend battery life, I don't like too much. The screen goes blank after a period of time and the track ball will blink green when this happens. I've been so used to haveing my old phone on silent and when I would see it blink I knew I had a message or something. So seeing this is slightly confusing.
That's all I can think of for now.
