So yesterday, I had to drop some old computer parts at the local recycling center - I walked in, and suddenly saw a shiny Gatway 15 inch flat panel - no cables with it, but it looked in perfect condition.

I took it home, got the correct cables for it, and it works perfectly. Now, the question arises - what should I do with it?

Can I use it with an external DVD player? Can I trade it to someone for something else good? Should I try to get like $75 for it on eBay?

hook it up to work in your car.

you should totally make it a rear view camera display. mirrors are so 90s

englandkid englandkidOG 2003 ·

what would be the point of that?

give it away on freecycle.

get a laptop with a broken LCD cheap/free and you've got a decent computer.

you could even attach it with a some ridiculous hinge from home depot and figure out how to supply DC power to it from the laptop. then you'd have a sweet ghetto laptop, but with a decent CPU for next to nothing.

Could it possibly be stolen?

iwz iwz ·

if it's in a recycling center, nobody owns it. it's garbage at that point.

True, but I just wouldn't want to be selling it and it pop-up as a stolen serial number.

iwz iwz ·

oh that's true. haha that would stink.

web-toedchloe web-toedchloeOG 2001 ·

Pop up where, though? I don't think anyone is checking serial numbers on stolen monitors.

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder ·

yeah esp not a 15 incher, even if it is a flat panel

Actually, "I do not believe in haunted" reminds me of "I don't believe in ROUS's" *rat-attacked!*
