so last night i was doing some stuff in vista, and i got really pissed at that stupid UAC when i tried to delete a file off my desktop, because it wouldn't let me.
once i shut off UAC, i rebooted .. and Mesh no longer worked. I vaguely remember something about it needing UAC to work ... POOP. well it's still set up on my Media Center PC, so I guess that's something.
So Buy business or ultimate? It's done that way to keep costs down.
I think this stuff is using windows live sky drive for the cloud right?
i think that makes no sense. keep costs down? why not just build it into Home ? It's already built, might as well just include the software.
yes, i think it's similar to live sky drive - but in some ways, it's very different. i think eventually they will combine the two.
It makes sense, just as much as why a base model car has tin cans for rims, I doubt it's because they dont have more nicer rims to spare. If they didn't divide it up that way then you'd pay full price for the biggest package even if you didn't use 50% of the features.
I thought I heard it was using sky drive to make the cloud happen, could be wrong, just overheard on a .NET podcast.
NERDS!!!!
i kid, i kid
haha i lol'd
so who is Christopher Price and why is he your favorite tech blogger?
haha. he's some sort of technology insider guy. He does a lot with mobile technologies (or he did more so in the past, on phonenews.com), and he always is working on interesting products as either some sort of beta tester or providing consulting services - I think that's how he pays the bills. He also provides feedback on the products he uses. If I knew as much as he knows about computers and other technology, I'd definitely want his job.
I would recommend adding him to your RSS feeds if you're a geek ...
I've heard a bit about this. Seems to be Microsoft's answer to Amazon's and Google's cloud computing stuff. Like they're really trying to create a platform that will be able to run all kinds of apps online. Sounds like it could be really cool at some point. They also have Mac and Linux clients for this thing.
