Sony Playstation

On MSNBC I saw these 2 articles about the Sony's PlayStation series of products.

In Japan they just released a all-in-one home digital entertainment system:

For 2003-2005, Playstation 2 gets smaller chip. In 2005 the "cell" chip will be released for the new system (Playstation 3):

the "all in one" sounds cool, but expensive. I think a system should include online capability via satellite/cable/dsl, tivo-like capabilities, dvd recording...etc.

I'm personally very excited about the playstation 3, but 2005 is a long time to wait. It also seems to me that the sooner a next-generation gaming console comes out, the better. Xbox and Game Cube graphics kick the Playstation 2's butt, and if they come out with their next-gen system before Sony does....I'm worried that Sony will fall wayyyy behind.
