Monitor Problem

web-toedchloe by web-toedchloeOG 2001 · Aug 26, 2004 · 132 views · ·

My monitor here at work keeps spontaneously flickering. It goes all the way off then comes back on for no reason. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Aha! More than just the power settings, the idiot tech guy here at my office had my monitor wire hanging by a thread under every other wire under my desk. Every time I moved my foot pedal for my dictaphone, it pulled the connection out a little more. God, I hate stupid computer guys.

oh hey, try turning off the DPMS or whatever energy savings you have for the monitor, just let a screen saver come on if it idles too long, fixed my co-workers computer

I think that might have been the problem. I changed the power setting this morning and it hasn't done it all day. Thanks!

well, with weird monitor problems like that, your options are limited:

1. Check all the cables.
2. Get a new monitor.
