My favorite part was when...

What's your favorite part of a movie? First say the movie then your favorite part and what you like about it.

One from me -

In the movie Benny and Joon with Johnny Depp and Mary Stuart-Masterson, when Joon gets locked up in the mental institution and Benny scales the building and then she's talking to a doctor and looking out the window and suddenly she sees him swinging on some kind of rope to and fro in front of her window, with his big tophat on, so awesome. I love everything about that scene. His crazy love for her and her reaction to seeing him swinging in the window and him tipping his tophat when he sees her. Just priceles.

sidenote: Johnny Depp is awesome and I can't wait to see him in Wonka!!

Groundhog Day
Awesome movie, and a few scenes stand out

When he pretty much kills himself in every way possible
When he tries to reenact a perfect day with the girl, but comes off sooo fake, and she just gets weirded out
When he steals the bag of money from the back of the armored truck
When he goes around the diner and knows everything about everybody

Murray did a great job in that movie, and did so many things I would have done too.

web-toedchloe #16.1 web-toedchloeOG 2001

How about in the beginning, when the blizzard first hits and he:

Talks to the cop on the highway. After the cop asks him if he listens to the weather, Murray says, while shivering, "I make the weather."

Then on the phone with an operator: "Is it possible to get an outside line? Don't you keep a line open for celebrities or emergencies? I'm both! I'm a celebrity in an emergency. What about the satellites? Is it snowing in space?" Then someone walks by and smacks him on the head with a shovel. Haha! I'm laughing just thinking about that.

i LOVE groundhog day, and bill murray is seriously one of the best actors of all time. supposedly he reads the script, gets a general idea, and then improvises everything. he's just naturally funny, u cant teach that

Bill Murray rules

fivezero #16.3 fivezeroOG 2003

bill murray is my hero.

He was on an episode of "Iron Chef" recently, in the audience. The moderator said he was a friend of one of the chefs. Bill said that he and the chef started out together making pizzas for Little Ceasar's 20 years ago. Haha!

flomojopoanode #15 flomojopoanodeFounder

Multiplicity.

Anything regarding the retarded clone is hilarious. When he says "I've got a wallet" and proceeds to stuff a slice of pizza in there--hilarious. When he calls Doug, "Steve". When he's shaving his tongue. All hilarious. He's my favorite character.

props to michael keaton

The puking scene from just last week.

When Stewie asks Brian about his book in a demeaning manner for like 8 minutes, and his voice just keeps climbing higher and higher. lol, so funny!

When Brian plants animal food in Stewie's overalls at a petting zoo, and the animals all chase him. And a moment later he's all busted up and says to Brian: "I'm going to KICK.....YOUR...........@**" Oh man, I almost died the first time I saw that. There's a few other great parts in this episode...like when peter won't talk to Brian, and encases himself in a glass box, and farts while eating dinner. Peter's poker face, and many more scenes.

juicymango #13.1.1 juicymangoOG 2003

OH. MY. GOODNESS. I was about to post two out of the three things you have there. The puking - I was DYING

When Stewie was asking Brian (not exact quote but something like) "so how's that novel coming along, that you've been working on? hmm? have a nice story line? hmm? a nice, nice protagonist?? by now? hmmm?? a few um.. a few plot twists?? Hmm?? " and it happens TWICE in that episode OH MY GOODNESS!!! Dying. DY-ING!!!

thefunkyfresh #13.1.1.1 thefunkyfreshFounder

...some friends become enemies, some enemies become friends? the reader learns that the hero's journey isn't always a happy one???

OH i can't WAIT to read it... :) i loved that part

i haaaated the puking part, it was just too gross!

flomojopoanode flomojopoanodeFounder

OMGoodness, the puking is so stinkin' hilarious!!!!!

I love that part with stewie, hahahahahahahaa. It lasts forever and it's TWICE during the episode! Could life get better!? I submit that it cannot!

I liked the part in Benny and Joon where Johnny Depp walks onto the chair, it falls over, and he continues walking smoothly.

I liked the part in Pirates of the Caribean where Kiera Knightly and Johnny Depp are drinking rum on the island, and then she sets all the rum on fire and they get rescued

I liked the part in Star Wars where they all get medals except for Chewbacca

I liked the part in Raiders of the Lost Ark when Ty (AKA Short Round) says "you cheat Dr. Jones!"

originalsnob #8.1 originalsnobOG 2004

Benny & Joon, such a classic!

juicymango #8.2 juicymangoOG 2003

gooood stuff

socalgal #7 socalgalOG 2003

one of my fav parts also.....is on tommy boy....where david spade tells tommy (while they're at the gas station and he's getting ready to go pay)to "not touch a single thing on his car" and as he's paying Tommy does everything to that car door and you see him in the back ground trying to close the car door he bent back into position. Then while Tommy is sitting in the car like nothing happend and spade opens the door and it falls off and tommy says in this horrified tone "WHAT'D YOU DO????" that gets me rolling every time!

flomojopoanode #7.1 flomojopoanodeFounder

okay, I'm not sure if it's tommy boy or black sheep, but when Chris Farley's on a hill top and says, "vote for Connelly" and proceeds to tumble down the hill until he catches hold of a root. Then he says, "tiny root, please stand strong" *Snap!* and he goes tumbling some more, and at the very bottom he's all busted up and disheveled, and he says, "what the HECK (edited) was THAT all about!?"

SO FUNNY!

thefunkyfresh #7.1.1 thefunkyfreshFounder

lol, i love chris farley. such the physical comic

socalgal #7.1.2 socalgalOG 2003

socalgal #6 socalgalOG 2003

that movie is so cute.....i also like that part in the movie where her bro is talking to him and he tells Benny 'joon hear's voices..." and benny gets this smile on his face and has this "wow thats cool" look....that always cracks me up!!!

the part in "lost and found" when david spade is singing Neil Diamond and throws martin sheen's wife (in the movie) through a table

juicymango #5.1 juicymangoOG 2003

ok this movie is on Comedy Central once in a while and the last time it was on I was cleaning or doing something and not really paying attention, just had the tv on for sound, and then, when the Neil Diamond part came on, I stopped and watched. SO amazing LOL

fivezero #5.2 fivezeroOG 2003

I like when he's sifting thru the dog crap for the ring with his fat double played by Artie Lange. He says, "oh, dude, you got some on your face." or whatever. And Lange puts his crap covered, gloved hand up to his face and smears some crap on his cheek. David Spade goes, "ohh, yeah, you got it."

juicymango #5.2.1 juicymangoOG 2003

HAHAHAHAH YEAH THAT"S RIGHT I love Artie so unbelievably a lot.

thefunkyfresh #5.2.1.1 thefunkyfreshFounder
