The Baxter
Okay. I just saw it, and I have to say I wasn't disappointed by it. Actually it was better than expected. I expected a piece of crap. I got a bunt cake. Y'know bunt cakes usually aren't the best cakes...but they're...they're pretty good...
it stars Michael Showalter from Stella, and The State, as well as many other guest appearances of comedians from Reno 911, Stella, and The State, and that one dude who was in clueless....paul rudd.
You might like this movie if you liike stella-style humor, just less silliness. it not GREAT, its got some slow or agonizing parts that remind me of "meet the parents". I definitely laughed a couple times. Showalter is super stiff in this movie, and some of the situations are funny. But don't get me wrong, this movie is not trying to be an out and out comedy. It's just a movie. A movie, which in my opinion, is worth giving an hour and a half of your time to enjoy.

watched it with todd, i had pretty much the same feelings about this movie. i had very low expectations for it, and i was pleasantly suprised. i wouldn't call it a great movie, but it had a lot of points in it where i laughed. plus i enjoyed all the STELLA references and picking out different people i recognized who had appeared in the show.
