SPEAK LOCKED

A 2004 Showtime Original Drama based on the novel Speak, by Laurie Halse Anderson.

Anderson, who claims the novel was originally drafted as a result of a nightmare; sheds light on a number of hard hitting topics.

Speak is centered around the life of Melinda Sordino (portrayed by Kristen Stewart-http://imdb.com/name/nm0829576/), directly after suffering a traumatic experience the summer before entering high school.

Understandably affected by her ordeal Melinda begins her year disconneted from the world around her resulting in rejection by those who don't understand the reason for her silence.

*As easy as it is to sit and rationalize that something is "just a movie" or isn't "real" a lot of the reactions through out the movie rang very true "If it's not happening/hasn't happend to me I don't care."

See it or skip it, I'd highly recommend seeing it!
