X-men

thatdarngirl by thatdarngirlOG 2002 · Oct 15, 2003 · 160 views · ·

So, I've been watching X-men Evolution on cartoon network for a while now. I was a huuuugeee fan of the original cartoon series, and this one didn't really interest me at first but they're doing a pretty good job, getting into the characters lives, having some of the same plots brought in. But! Where does all the money come from? They have this huge mansion that they always have to repair (the danger room isn't holographic this time) and all sorts of planes and stuff. Is Prof. X a big gambler or something?

i believe he was an heir to a loads of money

umm simple answer here guys... he controls and reads minds... geez... he can amass fortunes... easily.. i.e. hit up the big golfball room.. tell 100 million people to send him 1 dollar... they mail it to him.. and bam.. he's rich. i'd do that everyday.

That makes so much sense..and coming from you? I don't even know what to say really.

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 ·

yeah, i never even thought of that. i don't think he's a criminal tho. who knows?!

it's rarely explained. but in the comic he had connections to an alien race he encountered during the pheonix saga through a chick he loves named Lilandra. the race was called the Shi'ar that provided him with technology like the pimp holo danger room, costume maker machine, the blackbird jet and so forth. that kinda explains the technology angle, but money-wise i'm not even sure where he gets the loot. perhaps he was simply a very wealthy man who was the heir to an oil fortune. perhaps over the years maybe he's compounded the inherited money through a series of very wise investments like apple, microsoft, 3M, xerox and beanie babies.

Yeah..I knew about the Shi'ar, though I thought he came in contact with them halfway through the series, so where did the original stuff come from? If not..then that takes care of that aspect..but the money thing is definetly weird.

yeah, you're right, the acquisition of shi'ar technology wasn't til later. i really don't know where the loot comes from. i'll check it out tho.

I have a feeling he's a either cocain dealer, or he runs an extremely profitable lemonade stand

I think I'd go with the lemonade stand. I mean..he's got those X-men running around all the time..probably can charge them 50 cents per cup and they'll pay!

malibu malibuOG 2001 ·

don't diss the lemonade stands man! my lil sis made $20 in a few hours at 25 cents a cup.
