I love the 70's and 80's

thatdarngirl by thatdarngirlOG 2002 · Oct 21, 2003 · 301 views

So, has anyone else been watching these shows on VH1? I've seen all of the 70's I think, and only part of the 80's. My sister and I started watching I love the 80's Strikes Back last night. It's so funny seeing stuff that I definetly remember still being around as a little kid (friendship bracelets?) Mo Rocco, the guy from Ed, and the nerdy leader from Dude Where's My Car are some of the funniest people on those shows too.

tinser #8 tinserOG 2002

1987-full house.....such an amazingly awesome show

fivezero #7 fivezeroOG 2003

ok...these shows are funny and all, but they should be called KNOCK and DEMORALIZE the 70s and 80s! all these geeks do is bash stuff and speak with haughty sarcasm!

sugabluejennnie #6 sugabluejennnieOG 2002

forrestina #6.1 forrestinaOG 2002

sugabluejennnie #6.1.1 sugabluejennnieOG 2002

fivezero #6.2 fivezeroOG 2003

forrestina #6.2.1 forrestinaOG 2002

I was watching that show today and I was reminded of certain aspects of my childhood:

1. The McDonalds commericals with the puppet chicken nuggets in the styrofoam containers.
2. Rainbow Brite (what a great doll! her hair didn't get all funky after time)
3. Punky Brewster (all time FAVORITE doll! however her hair did get all funky and matted)

thatdarngirl #4 thatdarngirlOG 2002

The whole thing with the My Little Ponies and the wave on 84 last night was soo funny! "This is just a piece of plastic!" I didn't get to watch 85 yet.

forrestina #4.1 forrestinaOG 2002

my favorite was my seahorse one!

thatdarngirl #4.1.1 thatdarngirlOG 2002

I have a baby my little pony..she's ducky. That was always my favorite, though my older sister had one of the fairy ponies, morning glory and I was jealous of her. SHe also had the white princess pony while I had the dumb purple one.

forrestina #4.1.1.1 forrestinaOG 2002

i dont remember which other ones i have. time to pay them a visit in the attic...

tinser #4.1.1.2 tinserOG 2002

i had ducky too...and ducky's mom, but my favorite was lickity split, because she was the star of the movie

thatdarngirl thatdarngirlOG 2002

Ugh..my older sister had lickity split too.

We had a meaghan doll..though we shaved her head so we could make her a boy so our skippers could have a boyfriend.

T
toxicgirlOG 2003

Hahaha, I had a hawaiian barbie with gorgeous long black hair. I shaved her head so she could be the boyfriend for my sisters barbie doll. Biggest man-boobs you will ever see...

thatdarngirl thatdarngirlOG 2002

Did it look just like Mike?

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002

i had one that converted from a ballroom dancer to a ballerina. that was after my mom let us get them. she was very anti barbie.

yodasucka yodasuckaOG 2003

my first barbie was bath time fun barbie.. she was really ugly but she came with this cool foam that u could draw all over the bath tub walls with... but when it ran out, mom refused to buy me more and i hated her for that... that just ruined my life... what good was the barbie without the foam? then i cut off her hair and put her at the bottom of my closet...

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002

i found one of the soft building blocks that stuck to the bath wall in the closet the other day

yodasucka yodasuckaOG 2003 forrestina

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVED THOSE!!!!!!!!!!

thatdarngirl thatdarngirlOG 2002

I used to have kermit and miss piggy bubble bath. I used to swear that I could see their faces in the bubbles.

tinser tinserOG 2002

why were there never enough ken dolls!? Seriously, i don't think i knew anybody who had enough men for their women. (kinda like real life, if ya think about it) anyway, i just used the same guy as everybody's boyfriend...they just couldn't go out on double dates...and it was a little weird that the same guy who was the dad was also the boyfriend.

thatdarngirl thatdarngirlOG 2002

Yeah, it started to get a little freaky and incestual.

I had a mint green princess my little pony. She was a looker. She had magenta hair with silver strands in it. She was also very classy cuz she had a princess hat, a scepter, and jewels on her butt.

forrestina #4.1.2.1 forrestinaOG 2002

did she have jeweled eyes too??

T
toxicgirlOG 2003

MMMmmm...Don't think so. That musta been princess pony version 2.0

thatdarngirl thatdarngirlOG 2002

Look at the jeweled eyes...look into the jeweled eyes!

the guy from ed (Michael Ian Black) is the funniest human being on earth, but only when he's on "I Love the 80's" for some reason. Hal Sparks is pretty funny on it too. How the 80's strikes back, are they anygood?

thatdarngirl #2.1 thatdarngirlOG 2002

It's been pretty good. Some of the people commenting are not so funny but they still got Michael Black and Mo Rocco so it's all good with me

J
#2.1.1 jollycandymanOG 2001

if they are on there its all good.

forrestina #1 forrestinaOG 2002

i basically want to marry Mo Rocco. summer and i watch these all the time.

thatdarngirl #1.1 thatdarngirlOG 2002

oh no! Mo Rocco is mine, he and I are in love..though it's a one way thing, I love him and he has no idea who I am.

forrestina #1.1.1 forrestinaOG 2002

that lisp. those glasses. ohhhh yea.

thatdarngirl #1.1.1.1 thatdarngirlOG 2002

When you put it like that I think there may be something genetically wrong with me to make me love him.

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002

i watched last night and his name is actually mo roccA. how funny was he with the snausages dog?!

thatdarngirl thatdarngirlOG 2002

I didn't get to see it all yet because I went to bed..I'll have to watch it today when it's on.

thatdarngirl thatdarngirlOG 2002

Ahah! Ok so I saw the snausages thing..sooo amazing! That dog was so annoying, and they looked so gross yet they were all munching on them!

T
