Well, it happened.
It was a lazy saturday afternoon after a day off, I'd felt sick enough to stay home from the bookstudy and service that morning, Donovan joined me for a nap for an hour or so. I watched a Bogart movie, saw that it was only 3 in the afternoon and that I didn't feel like changing out of my pj's for the rest of the day, so it happened.
I began Morrowinding again. I played until 1am on saturday and about 10 last night. It won't control me this time...
Haha - yea, it's controlling me. I played until my console froze last night. Darn you, Ian!
OWNED!
:) :)
I might get back into this tonight. Donovan's worked late almost every night this week, so I'll drown my sorrows in some good adventure. :(
I told Donovan you posted this, Ian, and he's trying to goad me to start a new morrowind game. I told him I can't begin the addiction again; I remember taking a day off work when I felt slightly sick and playing all day. I can't do that again - I just got my life back!
But maybe I will... it's such a good game!!!
is there anything that explains in short form the story of morrowind? im gettnig oblivion360 and wondering if it would help
I don't think they're related. If you want the short version:
You're the neraverine, basically the savior of morrowind. You've been prophesied about and people are expecting you. You spend most of the game trying to prove that you are the neravarine. At the very end, though, and in the expansion packs, it moves more toward the "gods"of the game (who are really mortals themselves) betraying everyone, and you kill them. There's also some political intrigue, as the ruling powers are corrupt and you're supposed to oust them. Strangely, after you do that and "save the day", no one thinks you're better for it. They all still talk about the way the continent used to be.
And in one of the expansion packs, you deal a lot with a "god" named Hercine, in fact, he turns you into a werewolf and then you fight him, but don't completely kill him; he runs away. I think the next game will have to do at least to some degree with him.
thanks! i think you're right though, elder scrolls you are a prisoner that is randomly taken to protect the king's son or something
:) You rock! This made me laugh really hard. If I check out the site, I may have to start playing again...
