Do you really think Sony can compete in this market? Its pretty much dominated by Nintendo. And then with N-Gage, which is horrible from what I hear. I don't know, I can't see it being successful, but who knows. Sony does have a huge following.

Sony came out of nowhere and dominated the console market. Nintendo certainly has a stranglehold on the portable market, but they haven't really been pushing the envelope. The GBA SP is nice, but it's really only SNES level. Look at the graphics of that PSP game in that link. It's practically PS2 level graphics. Puts the GBA to shame. And it's got built-in WiFi support.

I think Sony definitely will create some competition for Nintendo, and even if they fail, Nintendo will HAVE to push their limits in response. As consumers, we'll all benefit. :)

And on the N-Gage, that product was just badly designed and that's why it's such a big failure. It's too much cellphone, not enough Gameboy. And side-talking and taking out the battery to change games is just stupid.

On top of that Sony just has a ton of money they can poor into this whether it does well or not. That's one of the reasons sony dominates they can afford to take a loss where as a company like nintendo can't.

You kidding? Nintendo literally has BILLIONS of dollars in the bank. They have money to BURN. Maybe the Nintendo DS really will be a good answer to the PSP.
