by Ok this is a game we're trying to get together. It's a different version of a scavenger hunt type game. There is a group of about 5 cars with 4-5 people in each. It has to be played on a commercial throughfare, like Route 4 or 17 or 46.
Basically, every team gets 10 index cards, each team with a unique color and they put a black arrow on each card. Then each team spends a designated amount of time (30-45 minutes) putting their arrows on signs along the route. The idea is that if a sign has an arrow, you have to put your teams arrow facing the opposite direction. Once the time ends the game begins (whether or not you have placed all of your arrows) and you must collect the most amount of arrows from other teams. If your arrows are not all put up when the time begins you must continue to place them until they are all up before you can retrieve any arrows from other teams.
Once the time for collecting has ended, all the teams will meet at a pre-selected site. If any team is not there within 15 minutes, they will be docked ONE arrow and will lose one more for every successive 5 minutes they do not show up. Once all teams show up, the arrows will be counted. The team with the most arrows wins. In the event of a tie, the team with the least of their arrows collected wins.
I forget the other rules that there are, but most are usually made up to fit the situation. There are no rules about how you get an arrow on a sign. If you can climb to a high spot and put an arrow there, go for it...

1. what signs? street signs? is that legal?
2. what is the point of the arrows? and why face them in the opposite direction? ehhh?
3. when you put your index card on a sign that already has another team's index card, do you remove their card?
1)i don't think it's illegal
2)that is just the game (no greater purpose or meaning)
3)If you are in the first stage of placing arrows, you can't take down arrows. There can only be a total of 3 team arrows on the sign in opposite directions of the actual sign's arrow, i.e. at a sign like "Paramus ->" you can place a left, down and up arrow. But strategically you don't want to put your arrow on a sign where there is already a different team's arrow, cuz if a third team comes along, they would have two arrows at once.

Yeah I know what you are saying. I think this game would be a quick and easy way to get the cops after you thinking your a vandal.
i think if you cover over the sign in any way, you may be asking for it, but if you put the arrow on the pole, i'd guess that you'd be safe
