Access / Data Access Pages / Reporting LOCKED

So i'm suppose to create error codes, translate them to barcode..
Then create a way for a user to scan these error codes through their desk... into our access database.
I'm thinking of just creating the DB.
Then Creating a Data Access Page each person can put on their PC.
And whenever they need to scan the barcode the open the .htm file and it goes into Access.
Think that will work?
