eZ-Syndicate
I was thinking.. How coo would it be, if eZabel had a RSS Feed, to let us syndicate our latest personal postings to eZabel, on our websites. For example, parse a XML file hosted on eZabel, by pointing to a php file that contains the code to parse the XML file, that's hosted on your own website. Have the feed only syndicate your latest personal postings, and not every eZabel user's posting. Like, if you went to my website, you would only see theremin's personal postings sydicated.
I don't have a blog, but people who do.. this might be interesting to them. Lately, I've been thinking of starting a blog, and this is one of the many things, I've thought about, that might be really neat to integrate.... an eZabel RSS feed. Just how coo would that be!?

so anyways this thing works sort of like chalmsicles does?
You've lost me. Put that into www.dictionary.com and it gives the suggestion of the Yiddish slang word for unlucky.
wheres the option for "i don't really UNDERSTAND this idea?"
I've thought about doing RSS feeds before.. but I think it would only be appropriate for news stories. maybe journals and forum threads, but that would be pushing it.
I understand that it would be pretty cool, but like yay said, most peoples comments are really not even remotely interesting unless you read the entire thread.
news stories, journals and forum threads would kinda stand on there own, and that makes them candidates to be feeds.
Hey, yeh, whatever. That actually would be more awesome. I haven't thought much about what the feed would be, just about a feed period is all.
Don't really see the point in hosting an RSS feed of user comments. That xml file would have to be updated continuously for no beneficial reason.
I could see maybe news or informational comments/journal RSS feeds being created, but personal user comments? That'd be like RSS-ing a chat room.
If I visited your website, why would I be interested in only what you posted to a conversation I do not know the other side to?
discussion/comment does not always equal informational value
Yeh, but more than three quarters of all the blogs out there, are pointless, yet, in 1999, there was like 300 of them in existance, and now there's thousands of 'em. And, I'm not looking at informational value, I looking at the "doing-it-because-you/or I-can-perspective." I actually don't have a preference as to what would be fed. Any sort of feed from eZabel would be pretty rad, I think. Also, maybe an incentive for iwz would be, having his "make a donation" button, impressed onto the feed. So, when a visitor is at one of our sites, looking at all of our content, and then they scan their eyes over to the eZ-sydication, they'll see the eZ paypal button, which has been stamped to the feed. hahaha. yess. swwweeet
