Elliptical Trainers

I don't know if exercise can be considered a "sport", but this doesn't fit anywhere else.

I want to purchase an elliptical machine. It's worth it to not have to drag myself to the gym where I feel like an out-of-shape weirdo. I've narrowed down my options to two machines:

I don't know how to compare them on anything else but eopinions.com, which has good and bad reviews for both. I'm going to go to the stores and test each of them in person, but does anyone have any advice on what to look for and not to look for? Are there any sites that show a side-by-side comparison?

Even when I went to the gym regularly, I didn't really know the specs for the ellipticals and they were always covered by the last guy's sweat residue.
