FRANK GORE! my big sleeper RB pick. i posted this too early to include him, but i became big on him later on, and i drafted him. he's payin off!
Can someone explain the whole fantasy football thing to me? I really want to do it this year but I don't understand what to do. Is it just for the NFL or is there fantasy football for college? I know more about the college teams.
i think they might have it, but ive never played and i dont know where you would go. ESPN, maybe?
You basically have a draft, everyone in your league (usually 10-12 teams) is arranged in a draft order that goes 1-12 in the first round and then 12 back to 1 the second, 1-12 the 3rd, and so on. Each team manager picks players who he thinks will be successful, and the same player can only be on one team, for instance, 2 teams can't both have Larry Johnson on their fantasy rosters. Once positions are filled (usually you must have a QB, 2 RB's, 2 WR's, a TE, a kicker and a defense) then that's your team. You have bench players to substitute in as well. Whoever is in your starting lineup accumulates points for your team based on how they do in real life.
That's basically the way it goes.
I chose LJ Last year in round 7 and he won me my league. I know I am gonna sound crazy saying this but hes a better pick than LT this year mark my words.
larry johnson to me is a great pick, because even though he is an inexperienced player, he is behind a brick wall line. you could put anyone behind that o-line and they will do well. larry johnson though is in my oppion amazing. i think he will have a great year.
he may be a better pick, yes i agree. i guess i just think LT is definately the superior player. LJ has a diesel line, and that will probably get him the best fantasy numbers.
i drafted larry last year too. then traded him, cuz i had priest too. priest got hurt and lj went off
My predictions:
QB: Peyton Manning. Sleeper: Steve McNair. Drafted too high: Daunte Culpepper
RB: Larry Johnson. Sleeper: Ronnie Brown. DTH: Clinton Portis
WR: Larry Fitzgerald. Sleeper: Nate Burleson. DTH: Plaxico Burress
TE: Antonio Gates. Sleeper: Vernon Davis. DTH: Todd Heap
also dth: randy moss
so what do you guy think...is tiki a first round pick this year or not?
i think definately yes. he is one of the best running backs out there, but for some reason is always under estimated.
i would draft him in the first round.
i don't think anyone expected larry johnson to be such a good pick. or carson palmer for that matter. eli manning was good qb to choose in lower rounds.
jamal lewis, and curtis martin really blew it for me last year. luckiy i was able to ick up edjerine james.
other good later round picks were santana moss and steve smith.
