History - 400 Wins
On March 23, 2004, Devils' goaltender Martin Brodeur became just the eighth goaltender in history to reach the 400-win mark, joining Patrick Roy (551), Terry Sawchuk (447), Jacques Plante (435), Ed Belfour (430), Tony Esposito (423), Glenn Hall (407), and Grant Fuhr (403). At 31 years, 322 days old, he would be the youngest to accomplish the feat. Brodeur reached the 400 win plateau faster than any other goaltender in terms of games played (735).
Brodeur made 21 saves to reach the Milestone missing in his last two attempts. The 31-year-old accomplished the feat in fewer games than anybody else. Over all, Brodeur is 400-215-105 in 12 seasons. Patrick Roy is the all-time leader with 551 wins.
Yet again this proves that Brodeur is on track to be the best goalie ever to play the game. 151 wins away from tieing Roy, it's bound to happen eventually. And I'm sure another cup or two will be in Broduers future.

The only other 2 people with 400 wins are Cy Young and Walter Johnson
Well, he's always had a good team around him too. That helps.
CONGRATS TO HOTTIE GOALIE BRODEUR....
*passing my boy Roy....hmmmm, don't think so....LOL
As far as another Stanley Cup.....hate to break this to you....NOT THIS YEAR....its all about my boys and the AVS!!!
WEST COAST NOTE: Mr Luc Robatille, became the highest goal scorer for a left wing in monday nights game....
He will beat Roy, its inevitable. And you're probably right about the Devs not winning the cup this year. But this is the 8th consecutive time they've clinched the playoff birth.
And I saw that about Robatille on Monday I think it was. That's awesome, and to think he was critisized for so many years.
One thing you have to keep in mind though is that the Devil's usually play better in the playoffs so we shall see about this.
but playoffs don't count right? don't they have their own #"s to go by???
I don't think so, a win is a win, how else could have Roy and Brodeur could have done it?
Even looking at the list those are all guys who were with teams that have won multiple cups, so they've been in plenty of playoff games.
according to mission hockey....there are different totals. there's playoff totals and then there's regular season totals. Theres more of a graphic explanation BUT to simplify, there's 2 separate totals
Yeah but don't they combine the totals for certain things as well? I thought so.
I was reffering to the AVS going all the way and the Devils not making it this year. lol
OHHHHH, but see my dear....they won't this time....AVS ALL THE WAY!!!!! lol
As I said the Devils are a playoff team and we shall see about that. :-P
hmmmm.....WE SHALL!!!! lol
*hey the dux played the RW on Sun & my dear man chelios was buggin lupal and ended up getting a 4 minute minor - LOL they shoulda given kicked him outta the game!!!!
You know what they need to do is have the whole team just turn on him and have all of them pull a chelios on him all at once. How great would that be. lol
