i need a JOB
I have a problem. I need a JOB. In September my insurance runs out and so I have to get a job that will provide me with that by then. I've worked at the same company for about 2 1/2 years and it hasn't been too bad, but they won't give me insurance and they haven't offered me full time work even though they know that I'm graduating. I'm going to make a proposal to my boss next week and explain some reasons as to why she should hire me on full time. The problem is, she isn't directly involved with what I do, so I don't think she understands my value to the company so I don't think she will see the need to hire me on.
I've been filling out online applications left and right, but I haven't gotten a single nibble, even for the jobs that I totally qualify for. At this point I'm basically just looking for any type of position right now in a technical environment, I have 4 years of corporate work experience and i will have a computer science degree with a minor in management by next month. Can anybody help me out with any leads or suggestions? I'm sure the answer is probably NO but I thought I might as well ask anyway.

Know any Java?
i wouldn't say i'm proficient at it, but I can get my way around it. no way i could be strictly a java programmer at this point
Try the Post Office or UPS, good bennies after u get thru probation, esp UPS.
why not just do somethign stupid and get arrested? you get a roof over your head, good food, plenty of time to work out, and you get a room mate. i don't see what the problem is. oh and you don't need insurance in prison.
yeah, i'll room with martha stewart
Matt just get a job with me, we cant paint houses like crazy and talk about girls all day, I have the greatest job in the world!
i feel your pain i'll be on an HMO soon which isn't better than nothing
Matt, my only advice is this: Pray about it, and be flexible. You might want something in your field, but you may have to settle for whatever you can get that gives you benefits. That's the position I'm in, but I'm doing just fine. Jehovah truly provides. I may not love my job, but I can stand it, I'm paying about 60 bucks a month for benefits, and I'm able to pioneer. Can life get better?! I submit that it cannot! (brian regan rules!)
thanks toddy :)
eh, it's nothing at all, Matty. nothingness
can he do that?!?
