hmmm... I'm thinking it might be Vendetta Red's Shatterday, but that might be because I have it stuck in my head, but don't have it yet, so I might be mistaking things. It's just that the lyrics seem to fit with the beat i have in my head and I know here in the NYC metro area its played on the radio...
vendetta red is some mature listening. cream of the crop among so much BAD emo. i really enjoy them. they're major label release is decent. but they have an EP called Cut Your Noose that is completely untouchable.

if you know the radio station and what day you were listening (and if you knew the time that would be better) you could email the radio station, ive done that before and they keep a listing of what theyve played so they could tell you - its worth a shot anyhow
Where were you in VA? If its near me, I can figure out the station and look at their station's playlist online. Or you could do it too, really.
