EXPLOSIVE CONCERT WEEKEND!
hi all. figured i'd share with ya'll my explosive concert weekend! first: was the CLONEPOD/GUILDERBELL mini core meltdown! the garage was blown to itty bitty bits! we heard old C'pod favorites like "down with the noise" and "he said, she said" and they gave us a couple special treats: an all-new, all-Sal song that rocked socks and a cover of the smash club hit by R.Kelly, Ignition Remix! it was a thing of beauty! sadly, never to be repeated!
Now Guilderbell was extremely honored to be playing the same night and garage as Clonepod and it showed. they rocked so hard and so well, i don't think anyone was prepared. the limited space didn't hinder the bands energy a bit. singer/guitarist, giorgio, even did a couple of his well timed, high flying amp jumps! they did my favorite songs "doomsday" and "addiction." sadly, "el toro" was squelched and was never released from his pen that night, but he lives to stampede another day. regardless, a good time was had by all. G'bell owns and we'll always remember C'pod in our hearts.
ADDITIONALLY! there was a 75 Summers reunion song! Chris' goodbye song to Sal was EXTREMELY enjoyable. i loved the yelps. and the crack about Sal's tight shirts. extremely funny. Paul was doing double duty as bassist for 75 Summers and Clonepod--he just may be the hardest working man in the local JW music scene, lol. it was an awesome thing to behold.
LASTLY! i saw Radiohead on monday at the Tweeter Center and it was completely amazing. thom york dances around like an electrocuted marionette--thoroughly entertaining! they did most of my favorites like Exit Music, Lucky, Paranoid Android, Idiotech, National Anthem, I Might Be Wrong, Kharma Police, and a tear jerking Fake Plastic Trees. i was completely blown away. i admonish everyone to see them as soon as possible. they are 100% quality. and that is all i have to say about that. cheers!

TY i thought you said that was our little secret
and they 40 other people in my room listening to me play gee-tar. i have such an amazing voice. i should marry it.
sorry i didn't know there were other people since you blindfolded me
thats my secret. ever hear of the sense-loss theory. you know.. lose your sight.. your auditory ones ENHANCE. it's all good.
you're like daredevil. first, you can't see. then, you forget everything from april 20th, which was the last episode of alias. WEEEEEIRD.
i cannot say enough how much clonepod played the most enjoyable show i've been to in a long time (with a minor exception being the Jay Karas Band)...they have this 50's rock sound that I can't explain and yet love...and that bassist! SOOO HOT!
Um, what about the once-in-a-lifetime-mini-75-summers reunion at that same night???? HOW CAN YOU FORGET the special song for SAL???? that rocked
I however, had only half of an Explosive Concert Weekend. *pout* A friend gave me tickets to see Counting Crows and John Mayer @ the Tweeter center last weekend. I hardly knew 4 songs by the Crows and I enjoyed their set a THOUSAND times better than John Mayer's. BIG let down! He had crappy stage presence and instead of doing songs we know and love he did new songs and added weird interludes to those we knew. Hey, but at least I got to see the last and final CLONEPOD show!!! And Guilderbell, man, you guys rocked! For everyone there, the night was simply historic.
awww man! i love counting crows, i have all their albums, i would really want to see them live...
yeah me too, i've been trying to get tickets for years.
They're not that great live... Saw them a few years back, went home early because their set just stunk, and it was super disapointing because i was a huge fan at the time.
Yay! thank you. Yes it was guuuuuuuhhhhrate (bye bye meow meow)
my dream is to own all the Tweeter centers in the world
that's a nice dream. while you're at it, why not dream up some food for yourself that doesn't involve cheese..
lol that's a tuffy
