We are....PENN STATE
Yesterday was my first time at a Penn State game. I have always liked football, but I never followed any one team. I at least knew that PSU was playing Minnesota's Golden Gophers. Thats why I decided to change out of my yellow sweatshirt when I saw what the opposing teams colors were. My G-parents bleed blue and white and have season tickets. So my PSU experience was intense. First off, I tailgated. I ate my breakfast from the back of a mini-van in a stadium lot. I was drinking a micro brew at 10:30 in the morning. Everyone in the parking lot thought they were football stars and where throwing the ball back and forth.
Game Time-->
I found my seat/row and watched the band march in playing the fight song and the nittany lion mascot run around the field with a flag. The stadium is huge and completely full (and full of ppl wearing blue and white). I was sitting right behind the team and a few minutes in, I saw Joe Paterno flip out in a large way. I sat and watched the game and slowly eased into PSU fanatic activity. By the 3rd quarter, I had a blue and white pompom that I was twirling around and I was boo-ing the refs for bad calls. I'd jump up on top of my seat and shout. I was doing the wave and shouting "We Are Penn State!" And even tho State lost, I returned home with bumper stickers, a shirt, pompoms and a hat. I even got my pic taken with a Joe Paterno statue.
It's amazing, I became a fan in only a day. AND THE TEAM ISN'T EVEN GOOD!!! Almost as if every Pennsylvanian is predisposed to wear blue and white. I can't wait to go to my next game. My goal...to get on TV. (I never realized how downtown State College was such a cool college town).

i discovered today in french class that when you say you're fed up with something (like "i've had it up to here" ) in france its something like, "my balls are full" but the motion is cupping two balls under your chin. needless to say, the laughter commenced from there.

Of course you admit they are bad! I was surrounded by Penn State fans that were calling the team girls. My Grandfather is a HUGE fan. They have a condo up in state college, the basement looks like a JoePa shrine. Even he is saying they are bad this year.
hahah my grandpa blah blah blah... haha jk, yea, my parents are alumni, and so is my sister... guess im the failure that didnt go... haha, but yeah, its good times... we go every year, make a big weekend out of it, my friends from NC... i almost went to the kent state game with my dad the week before, but had too much going on...
It's too bad you didn't go to that one, they won that game. Do you go try to go to all the games??? Cuz I am going to try to go to the Ohio State game-->we could hang out.
