by Has anyone here ever bought anything off of eBay? What did you think of it? I've been looking all over for a limited edition Roxy phone from Nextel, and no stores around here carry it, I've tried everywhere. The only place I've been able to find it is on eBay, but I'm not sure if I should chance getting it. What do you think??

I just bought a really good quality bass guitar from eBay.. I was also VERY skeptical.. suposedly they have some kind of protection thing if you pay by PayPal? I duno, my husband took care of most of the details, hehe.. I was very VERY skeptical and afraid that my money was gonna get stolen, but alas, a week later my bass arrived in perfect condition, very well packaged, yadda yadda. I paid about a quarter of it's value, and it's an awesome bass.
Also! a few years ago I bought a nice manual 35mm camera off ebay. I love it.
I've used ebay a couple times, and my mom uses it all the time. It's worked fine for us each time. They have used ratings, you should look at them, if the person has a good rating, then they have done a lot of sucessful bussiness on there.
yeah, and if someone posted a negative rating, email them and ask why, and if they ever resolved the issue.
my sister summer does all the time she loves it. also, i know a family that bought 2 cars off ebay and couldn't be happier. just make sure to do as much of a background check as possible before droppin the dough.
ugh...still buying these locked phones...and creating work...don't do it...it's not worth it for a limited edition roxy phone...

get an i90 on Nextel's network (steal, upgrade, whatever)
buy a Roxy case for the i90...take it to the mall, or a nextel store, pay like $40, and have them put it on for you.
no, actually the one that I found on ebay is unlocked already, and its about $30 less than the regular i90 from Nextel.
and I asked the guy at the Nextel place about getting the i90 and changing the housing on it, and he said that it messes the phone up, and in about 3 months your speakers will be shot. Plus, they won't change it for you, because it will void the warranty
haha nextel store people sound cranky...sounds like you have a good solution if the phone on ebay is unlocked already...

I've been using it a lot lately, and everything has worked fine. But..definetly only buy from people that have good ratings.
the only thing i ever got was a japanese imported megaman action figure. he was really shiny and blue, it looka pretty niiice...

look for items that are going to end in the next 5 minutes. if you like it, bid right before it ends, and steal it away at the last minute from the high bidder.

hey..i actually own that phone believe it or not..it's a boost mobile phone and they're only available in Cali and Nevada i think...HOWEVER...a friend of mine works at a cell phone store and she got me one...so if you're interested, i can give you her name and number...ok hopes this helps :)
Well, I wound up getting the phone from eBay, from a guy that lives in California. Its a brand new phone and it was already unlocked. And I got it at a good price. I originally tried to get it directly from Boost, but they won't ship to anywhere besides California and Nevada, so I did what I could. I LOVE it.
