more south and then north

i spent a few days at my cousin Pierre's house in Zephyr Hills kinda near Orlando. we didn't do much of anything. slept in, ate brunches and dinners, went to the mall, i bought great book that i'm veraciously consuming [dark tower v5: wolves of the calla]. we tried to leave for the whole thanksgiving thing, but we were unable to escape. we just kinda distanced ourselves as much as we could and then packed it in early for tomorrow was the trek back to Jersey. we also got word that family from texas would be visiting as we arrived home. sure. a good vacation came to a close.

woke up at nine. left at eleven. arrived home eighteen and one half hours later at five thirty am! i drove the whole way home, nonstop, save gas and grub. it was surprisingly easy especially since you basically take one road [i-95] all the way up. only when i started to recognize the area did i get tired and i'll tell you what a fine fight it was staying awake.

i walked into my house and people were literally everywhere. every surface had a family member on it, mind you my house is not big, but it was still surprising. and NEVER have i needed my bed more than at that very second. so, i crashed in a chair. i woke up a few hours later and greeted hordes of family. we ate, chatted, looked at pictures, etc etc. don't think me rude, but i was happy as a clam when they left a couple days later. i had my bed, my privacy, my old life back! s'great! inevitably, something happens to you when your routine is broken and left to lie while you tend to out of state relaxation trips and family impositions. maybe that's another journal. hahahaha. cheers!
