Ok well I am finally back from my extravagent trip to the NC. Lets see here. Oh ok well we got the chance to see Ralph do the stupidest pick up line ever in the history of man. My friend Gina is with me and Ralph sees her and goes "Hey Gina how tall are you?" followed by her response of 5'7". Ralph is like "no your not...I am 5'8 1/2". Then he runs over to her so he can compare his height. I am sorry Ralph but I laughed about that pickup line for like a year. Anyways that was cool. Me, Jeff, Crotch and Jason went down to some party in Delaware on the way down. Was kind of fun. We Jason and me went freestylin in the basmenet with some dudes and we was like "Everyone we don't trust move your butt in tha back o' the bus". Haha ok thats just retarded. Lets see. Oh I saw my gf (name never to be mentioned) and she was quite cool the whole time. We had a lot of fun. We saw some movies and ate out. We had a big blast. NC people are way cooler than Jersey people. See the problem with New Jersey is it is very rare to find people who actually are cool and work hard for what they have. Like most people here like work for their dad or some crap who buys them a car and lets them live at home and crap. I can only respect a person my age if they live on their own or are putting themselves thru college. I mean if your plan is to work at Ritz Camera the rest of your life for like 8 dollars an hour thats cool but dang don't come near me. Get a job. OK lets see. Anyways I decided to get another car. I think I need a nice luxury car or something for my next vehicle. I think the Cadillac Deville or a Mercedes Benz should do ok. I mean hey I got to pimp it up.

hey yeah, why don't you look cool, this way people who don't respect your personality or your writing can still think you're shallow and immature. that'd be cool.

um. i think the whole NJ area people are shady in general and as a whole. SHAAAAAAAAAAAADY. I think the closer you are to NYC the crazier people get. And shadier.

Yeah i have to agree - seriously i am new jersey through and through, but people from other states are way cooler and not all about the show. New Jersey/New York does something to people, who out there agrees?

guilderbellsuck #6.1 guilderbellsuckOG 2003

Well I don't really think NY is so bad. Just Long Island. You see its a simple equation I think. You have a bunch of kids growing up in the suburbs where all the houses are beautiful. Then they have parents who are very uptight. But the parents instead of raising their kids allows them to hang with a clique group of kids in the area. The parents feel its good to have this happen so to support how much they love the kids they buy them a brand new car although the kids have been showered with all kinds of gifts since they were born. Anyways these rich spoiled brats and their trendy ways are usually very shallow and oversexed and boring as heck to hang out with. Anyways not all are like this but I find this to be a very very common situation. Anyways it would explain why New Jersey is the densest disfellowshipping state per capita followed by California and Florida. I mean no matter what, wherever you go you will always find weird people but I mean not everyone is so Satanically bad. I mean I can usually find the good in most people. Just some are like "lets covet our crapload of sins"

skaorsk8 #6.1.1 skaorsk8OG 2002

see, i think if you're saying NJ is the densest amount of disfellowshipped people, you gotta realize it's the most dense state with people, period.

i think it depends on where you live. my congregation has the best group of young people i've seen in any congregation ever. i'm not just saying that because i go there, but we have a lot of teens and 20's age people, almost all of which are taking the truth very seriously. i dont think we're had anybody get df'ed in several years, and we have people getting baptized at almost every assembly and convention. we have several new pioneers and ministerial servants, right now everything seems to be on the up and up, it's really encouraging.

guilderbellsuck guilderbellsuckOG 2003

well thats good. I dont mean to drag anyone down with the comments. See I live like 10 minutes from the North Jersey area. A recent hall near here had a local needs part on bestiality. Another place around here had 4 disfellowshipped teens in one shot a month ago and 2 were reproved. Now I am not going to say names or anything but a lot of them...This is not their first time getting hit with the paddle. I mean I once hung out with 3 young guys in the area and then ended up at one of their houses. The 2 other guys would not stop acting like retards around this kids father. In fact his father was not even a believer and these 2 guys just stood there poking fun of his weight and what not. I was like "oh my gosh" when I saw that happen. To have such disrespect is just very far out of line.

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder

that's messed up. in NW jersey though, at least in my circuit anyway, all the halls seem to be doing pretty good. i'm in hackettstown, and from what i've seen the surrounding halls are doing well too. i have close friends in stanhope, randolph, and dover.

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002

I feel that way about my new congregation. There aren't many young adults my age, but the younger ones definitely follow in the examples of their parents to develop their own relationship with Jehovah. I find that really encouraging and I feed off of their youthful zeal for Jehovah's service.

skaorsk8 skaorsk8OG 2002

ahh...my hall is so mixed...i'd say what it's like, but the majority of the young poeple in my hall are lurkers on here...heh

socalgal socalgalOG 2003

That is good to hear that the DFing is low, here in OC there's at least one getting DF'd per meeting. SO SAD! We just have so much going on here and it is easy to get caught up in the mix and its sad that some let themselves get caught up in the mix. So yes, most of what you hear about So Cal is mostly true...

guilderbellsuck guilderbellsuckOG 2003

its not So Cal. Its the beach parties. Swimming pools, beaches, money increase DF'ing chances

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder

one per meeting??? thats just insane

socalgal socalgalOG 2003

Yeah it is, at one point in our hall alone there were at least 2 being "announced" every theocratic meeting. Once the PO would walk up to the stage after announcments were done we would be like "PLEASE not another one!"

Wow, that's so sad. It makes me cringe.

dang, so how many undf'ed ones are in your congregation now?
