On Why PacSun is INSANE
by i quit my job last week... so next week is my last.. i really loved it there and i'm sad to go but unfortunatly-the pay is crap and its not cool to give up my weekends for barely any money haha so yea i quit
on saturday, i was working, and we were a little shorthanded... we have these "zones" that we're suposed to stay in. They put me up front which i HATE... i gotta like say hi to all the customers and check their bags if the censor things go off... i really do neither of these tasks. I just stand there and yell to my co-workers at the back of the store about how much i hate being up front... some times i'll leave for a bit and go get sum food... they never really notice that i'm gone hehe but any ways, on saturday my manager calls me to the back and asks me to open a fitting room. Now this was very wrong because now there was no body up front but there was also no body in the back. I figured that no one would notice if i just went realy fast... well i was wrong. Some guy stole $2,000 worth of clothes. I walked back up front and the entire front table was empty... i just laughed.. i mean even when the alarm goes off and i'm up front, i never chase the people cuz then you look SO stupid.. its like here i go running thru the Plaza chasing this guy who prolly only stole a $25 shirt- SO not worth it!
so last night, they called me to work... so i went in and they put me on register... every one says they shouldn't let me handle money- but they do any ways... so this costumer buys $49 worth of clothes and pays with a $50- yea well when i went to put it in my register, i went to his the cash button- but i guess i missed and hit something else (o like the travelers check option) and so my whole register got messed up... i called over my boss and was like "uh, here, fix this, and i'm going on break so u don't kill me" and then i took a 20 minute break instead of the 10 mintue one i was suposed to get...but he didn't even notice i was gone cuz he was trying to get this girls number... haha man PacSun is CRAZY
One of my managers, Hurley, is like a big teddy bear... like hes the type of guy that u can punch as hard as u can, and he'll never even make a face.. but then he punches back and it hurts.. me and him always start fighting in the store ... i always say that he has a fifth grade crush on me cuz hes always hitting me or trying to trip me... so last night, we were taking down these signs and he started hitting me on the head with them! so i took another one and just started hitting him with it... i hit him so hard that the sign broke.. and then he looked like he was about to kill me so i RAN! and here we are running around the store and the other manager Tom is like "stop running ! your going to hit the customers" i took this as "leave the store" so i took off running down the Plaza and he chased me the whole way... i made it all the way to Johnny Rockets and then he caught me and put me in a headlock... at which point mall sercurity started yelling at us and we ran back into the store haha come on, how many of you can say you have this much fun at work?

Wow JOHNNY ROCKETS. and a girl named Melody. Coincidence? Anyways all I can say is that sounds like you have fun at work. Try bringing some silly string or something of that nature and spray people who come into Pac Sun. Its always funny to see them buying some billabongs and get klanked with some silly.
we have this DIGUSTING smelling cologne (the girls one actully smells good) and we're suposed to offer it to people like those ANNOYING people at Macys or whateva... any ways... we just spray each other with it.. by the end of the day, we all smell horrible.. cuz we mix them up and spray some of the girls one and some of the guys one... but i've never just sprayed a customer with it... the problem is, they send secret shoppers into our store... altho i'm sure we'd get in trouble just the same if we were messing with each other as we would if we were messing with customers...
haha i have never had that much fun at work, and i'm a little jealous. stupid grown up job. srsly.

no, cuz u see, i have 4 bosses.. one of them is really mean (Eric) and i always am a good worker around him, two of them (Tom and Hurley) don't care cuz they are lower then the "main bosses" so really i can do whatever i want and they won't do any thing cuz they really don't care and then theres one thats in the middle (Twinkie) who lets me do what i want, as long as i get my work done... so when my next job does call, the only ones that they will speak to will be Eric or Twinkie... and both of them just know me as the quiet girl who gets all her work done haha so i win either way!

See I knew I should've taken that job at Hot Topic - when I was looking last month I was offered a job there. But I opted for waitressing... I feel like I may be missing out... okay let me go contemplate.
I love Pac Sun though, wish I would've known you when discounts could've been discussed. lol
well guys, for real, i can still get discounts forever haha cuz every one there loves me now and all i really gotta do is say "hey, i want this, put it on your employee discount" and they will.. so its no rush, whenever you guys need something, gimme a call... i mean 30% off is VERY nice when it comes to a $60 hoodie LOL

I luv hearing when ones have fun at work. We have a blast...we have fun all the time....from skatboarding in the halls to taking brakes to skate in the parking lot....to just blaring the radios....actually we have too much fun and when we have deadlines we're cramming till like LATE at night stressing out! BTW, PAC SUN is one of our BIGGEST customers...they stress me out! LOL
i love going to work. i spend about 7 hours making fun of everyone. and its not just me cuz the entire staff just sits around and mocks eachother. but waitresses are extremely dramatic. then they get upset and we wait a few hours and do it behind their backs and then start in again on the front. i cause trouble there. it's awesome. i only hate when i'm scheduled for all 3 weekend nites!!! (like this week) stinks so bad!!but trouble is fun.
