Christmas Gifts
I live with my Grandparents who aren't in the truth. I've lived here since March and have had the opportunity to get an inside view of celebrating holidays. Christmas is their psycho holiday. They go absolutely nuts. I hope that the decorations are down before Armageddon comes. Otherwise I may hang a rope outside my window like Rahab did in Jericho. Since I was under their roof, they felt like they could push the holiday on me. I told them that I wouldn't be around for the holiday. I spent over a week in NJ to avoid the pagan ritual. I knew they would get me presents. I told them not too but they wanted to. If I had pushed it further I would have offended them.
So I got home from NJ on Thursday and found a pile of gifts on my bed from my Aunt. A bath set, a pashmina, ladybug keychain, Burt's bees bath set, a magnet and the most awful purse I've ever seen. It's horrible. It is brown corduroy with suede patches (circles and squares) of varying browns on the front. My Grandmother asked me if I liked it because my Aunt was, "so tickled to find that purse, she knew I was going to love it." It made me feel so guilty because I have no desire to keep it let alone use it. I know that I can be hard to buy for. I am very particular. I am always appreciative of generosity. However sometimes I wonder how a person could feel so certain that I'd love such a thing? I didn't think I was THAT hard to buy for. I would think that if they knew me they wouldn't miss the mark by so much. I usually prefer to give gifts than recieve them. My boyfriend gives good presents though. He gets me cool t-shirts and gets me dinner. So far I have loved everything he has given me. What a great guy.
