Sometimes

reaf by reaf · Feb 19, 2004 · 371 views · Journal

I just really dislike everything but I always hated New Jersey.

and other times I just really dont care about anything and still hated New Jersey.

Is my hatred for everything about New Jersey maken me insane!? Or have I always been crazy?

Your Comments Here: :)

I also learned that I use the word hate to much, when all I really mean is dislike!

Ha Ha, I also know for a fact there is no one that understand me and puts up with me better than my husband. . . What would I do with out him!

and i can be SUCH a BRAT sometimes, even I'll look back and be like what the, what was i thinking

Oh yeah and also i so need to be slapped and put into place sometimes, like every woman needs to (the woman part strictly for thai)

i agree! everyone is always trying to escape, but i'm not going anywhere.

yodasucka #2.2.1 yodasuckaOG 2003

really, i could never live any where else... i couldn't stand to be outta NJ

thatdarngirl #2.2.1.1 thatdarngirlOG 2002

I enjoy NJ..why can't it be warmer here? I think I'm going to migrate to Maryland it's a little bit south but not so far that it's bad south.

T
toxicgirlOG 2003

I've always thought Maryland was yucky.

thatdarngirl thatdarngirlOG 2002

Well, I've been to the inner harbor and that's yucky but I don't plan on being around there. I want to be near the ocean but still near enough to a city that I can go see concerts.

skaorsk8 #3 skaorsk8OG 2002

it depends WHY you hate it. if you dislike the "we live close to the greatest city in the world and so whatever i want, i should have it NOW" - well, that's just how some people are.

if you dislike it because people say "why shouldn't i have the nicest material things, everyone else does" - well, that happens anywhere.

but if you dislike it because there are so many people, and some parts are dirty - there are better parts of the state.

soooo...i wanna hear more information.

juicymango #3.1 juicymangoOG 2003

Yeah I agree with this question... I know you hate all the "drama" in NJ ... I do too.. but I really don't think you can get away from that... because people make drama, no matter where they are....

reaf #3.2 reafOG 2002

ha ha,,well ever since i was young i disliked NJ, I think the reason now i dont like it,is its living expense,& i have to agree with kam, the DMV,, i dont care that we are this close to the city because i hate the city, i dont need everything in the blink of an eye, nothing really about the city excites me, I dont really care much for the change of seasons, id be fine in warmth all year round and just visiting winter. Id rather the setting be of a quant town with island surrounding where there is only like 2 kingdom halls on the entire island. Also It's to fast pace of a life everywhere around. The drivers, the foreign people who dont know how to drive. the HUGE diversness of ethnicity kinda is crazy, i know that sounds weird, ha ha, but i duno how to explain that, and Im not prejudice, ha ha.

juicymango #3.2.1 juicymangoOG 2003

Oh i agree about the fast pace of life. haha.. like in NC, they talk slow, they walk slow, they take their time... haha that's a good point (i almost typed ping..)

reaf #3.2.1.1 reafOG 2002

WOW, i have pinged in FOREVER

socalgal #3.2.2 socalgalOG 2003

sounds JUST like california! Although i do love it out here, the only thing i hate is the traffic....so i can empathize with you on most since it's almost the same =)

**although i would trade it all in if i could be a mermaid and live in the ocean! =)

D
#3.2.2.1 dgiaimoOG 2003

Except for the fact that you don't have seasons in Southern California.

socalgal socalgalOG 2003

this is true! thats where vacation time to a "wintery" place comes in! ;)

D
dgiaimoOG 2003

You know, you're the first Southern Californian to actually agree with me on that statement. Everyone else I've met from there seems to think that what you guys have qualifies as "seasons".

socalgal socalgalOG 2003

nah it doesn't. I can see how we're "satisfied" with what we have but we don't have seasons. Maybe the peeps you've spoken to have not really traveled to a place that has actual seasons

reaf #3.2.2.2 reafOG 2002

ha ha, im pretty sure it can be arranged,, Do you know lady Octopus they call Ursula?

tinser tinserOG 2002

thatdarngirl thatdarngirlOG 2002

tinser tinserOG 2002

haha, good memory

fivezero #3.2.3 fivezeroOG 2003

i love foriegn people! but i get frustrated sometimes when i'm lost in the middle of nowhere and i stop at a gas station to get directions and i get a blank stare from an indian dude, with an american name on his shirt! okay, "Dave", thanks for nothing.

reaf #3.2.3.1 reafOG 2002

ha ha, ya I HATE that

fivezero #3.2.4 fivezeroOG 2003

the DMV have liberally supplied me with some of the worst experiences i've had in this state or anywhere. i've almost lost it in there a few times. the people behind those desks are bad people. simple as that.

skaorsk8 #3.2.4.1 skaorsk8OG 2002

dude - the DMV is now online. the world is a much better place for it. You can pay tickets, renew registration, schedule an inspection, and a lot of other cool things. http://www.state.nj.us/mvc/

lately, i've noticed the poeple at my local DMV to be a lot more organized, more chill, and in general, more helpful since now a lot of the people just go online.

having said that...the DMV is a business. that makes RIDICULOUS money. every ticket, every renewal, every license, everything, they make mad loot on. and i bet they pay $5/hr.

tinser tinserOG 2002

and for new yorkers: http://www.nydmv.state.ny.us/

socalgal #3.2.4.2 socalgalOG 2003

they're evil, rude....i can go on and on

juicymango #4 juicymangoOG 2003

haha i think it's makin you insane

i don't particularly care for NJ, i guess, but it has its good points.. as far as the diversity, of people, places, landscapes, i duno it's just one of those states that has everything, but doesn't have hurricanes or earthquakes or volcanos. Haha.

And I guess... the things i don't like about NJ, the crowded-ness, the traffic, the rude people at the DMV, heh, and how expensive most of the state is to live in, i guess those are problems I wouldn't really truly totally be able to get away from, until the new system...

South NJ is kinda cool i guess, people are nicer, like they say "excuse me" and stuff, and it's not as crowded. I duno it would be silly to say I hate NJ.

reaf #4.1 reafOG 2002

Yeah I think so too, cause I dont remember bein so harsh! ha ha, but then again I might have always been and just am realizing it now.

juicymango #5 juicymangoOG 2003

My in-laws moved to North Carolina and they CONSTANTLY talk bad about NJ like the state itself is the reason that they didn't do too well here in certain aspects... but of course in reality it was certain bad decisions etc. etc. that made life here kinda hard. In NC things are cheaper, the air may be cleaner in some parts, but jobs pay less, it takes over a half hour to get to the grocery store, etc. etc.... It's all relative i think..

juicymango #5.1 juicymangoOG 2003

of course to each his own, and if you wanna hate a state, hate a state, hehe it's fine with me.

I duno I think personally I prefer to accept my surroundings and be "content with sustenance and covering" no matter what state or country it is. Being happy with what you got is a good feeling.

reaf #5.1.1 reafOG 2002

Im, happy with what I have, i dont need more or less, i'm content, and if i never move i never move, but i dont like new jersey, never did.

T
#5.2 toxicgirlOG 2003

People in Pennsylvania talk about New Jersey as if it was a white trash relative.

forrestina #6 forrestinaOG 2002

be a brat! i totally encourage your brattiness. for one it amuses me and for two it's honest.

reaf #6.1 reafOG 2002

forrestina #6.1.1 forrestinaOG 2002

reaf #6.1.1.1 reafOG 2002

ha ha, Forreste , One Letter Dash Word: O-Tay

thatdarngirl #7 thatdarngirlOG 2002

I always say I love NJ because:
-the beach is only an hour away
-it snows
-the city is nearby if i ever decide I want to go
-no volcanoes, tornadoes, earthquakes..all those scary things I don't like

But in reality..it's way too cold for me here. I'd be happier if it was summer all the time.

tinser #7.1 tinserOG 2002

the cold weather is my biggest problem with NY too...other then that...i've learned to love it

juicymango #8 juicymangoOG 2003

The title of this journal kinda reminds me of that Britney Spears song

Sometimes I run
Sometimes I hide
Sometimes I'm scared of you
But all I really want is to hold you tight
Treat you right
Be with you DAYYYYY AND NIIIIIIIGHT
baby all i need is time

(the sad thing is, i just typed that all from memory, .. haha.. I guess singing one song over and over for 8 hours in the year 2000 really sticks with ya...)

reaf #8.1 reafOG 2002

what the, thats scary you know that from memory,,

but I do however really like her new song toxic

malibu #8.1.1 malibuOG 2001

thatdarngirl #8.2 thatdarngirlOG 2002
