RE: Reflection
So tonight at the Memorial we had an awesome talk. The brother brought out some points of illustration that I hadn't ever really heard before in a Memorial talk. Mostly though he drove home the importance of how sacred an evening such as the Memorial is.
Now one of the items he brought up was how personal reflection was a key point to the night. The fact that we are reminded to do out Memorial Bible Reading and be reminded of all Jesus's example is to mean to us.
Anyways as part of my journal entry - the week I would like to reflect on how much my life has changed in the last year. I think it's crazy because if anyone had told me last year that I would be living in PA this year, in a brand new place - I probably would not have believed them; stuff has flipped that much.
So what's different with everyone else? What were you doing one year ago? and is your life any different now?

Last year I used to be in college, supporting myself as a musician, and was short. This year, Im graduated, working in construction, but still short. But a big change is the whole dating thing, at this time last year, I wasnt in any serious relationship, and now I am. But still just 5'-5".
short happens... lol.
HAHAHAHAHA that was a great response!
HAHA that's great! Lauren is great!
I'd love to take full credit for that comment... BUT unfortunately its origin is with ms. tina... lol.
Ah, see that makes sense cause shes real short too. :P
thanks chica! hahaha i forgot about that....
I feel like I'm a totally different person then I was last year. Like..everything inside me changed. I'm more aware of my thoughts, more contemplative I suppose? I feel older then I used to, and I don't mean in years. It's odd. Maybe I can explain it better when it's not 12:30 at night.
some things are different, some things are similar, and some things are exactly the same. though NOW i can say for the first time EVER, that i know what i want and i have a pretty good idea how to get it. oh, and i'm 5'-10"!
i'm a little older, slightly heavier (stupid carbs + winter..2 lbs of body fat..), i'm a lot better at snowboarding than I was (that's not saying a lot though), i spend more time studying than ever before, i know what it means to be a hard worker (i gotta do a journal on THAT topic), i have more responsibilites in the congregation and i paid of all my debt...WOOOT!
you rock!
thanks mom!
you're rad too.
only difference for me is I am married and not stressing out about planning a wedding, but thats basically it, not to much happens, I like it that way.
every year i learn so much, but i can't remember everything exactly, but they're probably all indebted in my heart and mind. i've learned to be more outgoing and i've learned to be a better friend. i'm closer with a few of the brothers and sisters in my congregation, which has really helped me out since now i can have someone to talk to about my stress. and my biceps grew about an inch!
WOW! I'm 6'2" and I weigh 170 pounds now, and am getting better and better looking as time progresses as well as my GTI getting faster and faster. Things keep looking up
you weigh 170...???? wow...that's impressive.
I think last April wasn't really too much different from this one, except that I was about to turn 24 not 25 haha... and we're about to move into a new place, and we moved to a new congregation which we love so far. And this year I'm pursuing and enjoying more of my hobbies and kinda being more creative and work on accomplishing things. And I guess I'm more focused in general, focused on accomplishing some spiritual as well as personal goals. I guess that's about it...
last year this time.. i wrote this.

Wow I must say you amaze me sometimes. It's comments like that that make me think you may have a split personality. lol
A person without many skills is a boring person
A person without many trades is a boring person
A person withoug multiple personalies is a boring person
Ah so that explains it. lol

Wweyst SIde!!
You totally just put Pet Shop Boys - West End Town in my head.
Man my life has changed a whole lot over the past year. I have a new group of friends that I hang out with that seem to understand me and I love hanging with. I quit my job finally after working there for 2 and a half years and started going to school to become a paralegal. I stopped pioneering just recently because of how messed up my sleep schedule was and plan on starting again once I get my sleep back in order. Overall I'd have to say that there has been a vast improvement over last year. :)
