Tell it like it is

ekulu by ekulu · May 12, 2004 · 166 views · Journal

So, of course it's easier o see other people's faults than it is to see your own, and a person should definitely not be picking at other people's faults and continuously pointing them out. But does that mean that you should never point them out? I have a problem with telling people if they are doing something wrong or incorrectly, or if there is a better way to do it, I always havea hard time getting up the nerve to tell the person. Maybe it's because of a mix of misguided respect for other peole and just being afraid. I dunno. I don't want to be known asthe person who's always pointing out everybody's faults, but I can't help it if I see somebody doing soemthing incorrectly. I just have the urge to help them do it right. Is that so wrong?? What is the best way to tell or show a person that they are doing something the wrong way?

i hate giving advice, i never feel like i'm qualified to give it, and i'm always afraid in case it turns out to be bad advice.

yeah, seriously, your advice sucks, HARDCORE. I remember one time, you were like "Yeah, man, just let it go" and so i did...and you were like "ohhh that's warm"

i'm a pretty blunt person so i usually tell it like it is, but this is with my friends only and they do the same for me. other than that, who am i to say what to someone that i don't know nor know their circumstances.

why would other people know that you're the person always pointing out OTHERS FAULTS.

do it in private. talk to them one on one.
