Backup QB

I would like to preface this journal with 3 things, 1)It is not about football 2)It may at times sound like i'm blowing my own horn or being insensitive, but i'm not i'm just being honest and D)It may sound at times that i'm bashing myself, but...(see second half of #2)

Ok, so what is it about me? For the 3rd time in the past year, a married woman has made it known (not to me but to everyone else) that she would have rather married me than her current husband.

Yes, yes, the real issue should be why they are not ecstatic in their current relationship, but that is not my problem so i wonder: Why they have to make this known now? I mean it does nothing for either of us. And they were all sisters that i did have a pretty big crush on and spent time with in many social settings. So it's not like the right time never arose. It may be that the right situation never arose, but this is not entirely my fault. I could have said something and maybe they were waiting for it and then when I didn't they felt i didn't really care or have any interest, but i never knew.

Why am I everyone's favorite second option? I mean really, if I'm soooo great then why was it they chose their current winners instead? And if i'm sooo great then why am i still single? (I do actually know the answers to these two questions, but they don't and so the questions are directed to them). I don't just mean that they said I was 'cute,' but elaborated on how they would have taken care of me better than anyone and thought for a time I was 'the one'.

So the latest is going to be my hairstylist and manicurist because of a meddling person who thought it would be a good idea. So now instead of going to my barber 10 minutes away for $11 like every other male, i have to travel an hour and pay whatever exorbitant sum it is hairstylists get these days. Oh well, maybe i'll get some seldom worked out of it too...

Steve Young was the luckiest backup quarter back. Being behind Montana was the best thing ever for him. He learned a lot. :)

does the word neofashionist mean anything to you? haha j/k. Sorry about the news bro. Kind of bums me out to hear stuff like this. Yeah I remember being in a few similar situations. Turns out no matter how much I tried to make sense of it all I got was more confused. Truth of the matter is that eventually something really good comes your way. It usually happens unexpectadly. First thing I notice I am talking to this cute brunette with nice long waivy hair. Then her and me are talking on the phone. For some reason I make her laugh a lot and she really likes that. You will discover someone unexpectadly too. Seriously you wont change the past so dont dwell on it. If you do that you won't see the good in front of you and that is something you don't want to miss. Anyways Peace rock steady

I go to a stylist, actually she's done my hair since I was like 11. $15 for cut, $5 tip and I'm out. I don't get manicures....often, only if i'm getting a pedicure.

If a married woman is saying such things she's got some real issues and they need to be addressed. Just my humble opinion from seeing they could be the start of a major problem, not saying they are but they could. Trust me on this one.

And I know exactly what you mean. I know a few people who think I'm the greatest guy in the world, but there's not interest. I must be gay or something. I'm like the fag friend that woman have. It sucks. :P But I'm learning patience which is a really good thing. Don't worry bro, she's out there some where, and you'll find her, and it will be great. Or I'm just a hopeless romantic and we'll be miserable together. :P

you are so not the gay friend! you'll find someone amazing and you'll thank Jah that nothing happened with the others!

aviator #4.1.1 aviatorOG 2004

yeah. Gina is gonna be near you in Hawaii. Cali is a hop skip and jump away.

I got worms.... nah dude. we sill have many more adventures to enjoy, with or without yoda.

I can't say anything with regard to the hairstylist because there is THE hottest girl who cuts my hair at Supercuts. Occassionally I gave her an $8 tip on a $12 haircut and pretend I did it by accident.

Jesse - for the manicures...we need a whole separate thread for those...

rocksupastar #6.1.1 rocksupastarFounder

haha, or "adult" film stars of some sort.. either way that woman was MUCH to old for you.

hunkpapap #6.2 hunkpapapOG 2003

i know i hate being so cursed...

socalgal #7 socalgalOG 2003

the big question for me is....how old were these girls when you guys were "crushing" on each other? and how old are they now?

starshiptrooper #8 starshiptrooperOG 2003

just think, any one of them COULD have married you, and then got a crush on the one they married in real life.
(does that make sense? comprende?)

starshiptrooper #8.1 starshiptrooperOG 2003

like bizzaro world....

violetboregaurd #9 violetboregaurdOG 2003

So I have to sympathize with you - I had a really good friend of mine tell me that once... he said that if he wasn't married that he would be trying to date me. Weird thing is that we had been friends forever - so why pick now to tell me this? After he was married?
But I digress... just take it as a compliment, some sort of flattery - these women are seeing the qualities in you that they have wanted all along but maybe were to preoccupied at the time to put amy importance on.
As for the barber thing, that does suck; they are hard to come by, but while in seldom worked you may meet a sister who has had the same thing said to her, by brothers who got married... yah never know.
