So Happy Together

So for weeks and weeks I tried to figure out when Adam was going to propose to me... I knew it was going to come within the next month or two. But, the sly one that he is, he tricked me! He had a bunch of "fake dates" to make me think it was going to be different days than it actually was (considering he knew i would try and figure it out).

Last weekend was my convention. I went and sat with Jahanna, Megan & Karl. Adam was working that day so I told him that we would meet up after the convention for dinner. He told me we should go to this great Italian restaurant in Queens that we had been to before with Jahanna (and Austin would also meet up later). I asked if Lauren, her brother Ben & Megan & Karl could come along (he had to make reservations at this place) He said that would be fine (he was hoping that i would suggest those people to come).

Anyway, Megan's back was hurting her, and i told her that i would drive her back to her hotel since i was going to be at that convention day again since Adam needed to go.

Adam calls me at about 4:30pm and says that we should get going to meet him at the house they're building in Queens (they're moving in a couple weeks to that house). So Megan & I leave, although Megan is saying we shouldn't leave yet b/c Karl & everyone else is still at the Convention... but i was anxious to see adam since i hadnt seen him all week. So i said lets go!

We're about 5 min away and Megan calls Karl... and theyre about 20 min away... so she wants to stall me and asks if we can stop to get water. At this point... im confused as to why we have to WAIT for them to get there!

Finally I get to Adam's house... i walk in.... and there are rose petals up leading up the stairs... i turn around to look at Megan in complete shock and she goes... I KNOW! thats why i wanted them to be here....

I walk up the stairs following the rose petals...and i hear our song "so happy together" by the turtles...I CANT BELIEVE ITS HAPPENING!!!! i look down.. more rose petals... and then candles and a path of pictures from when we first started dating until now. It's all leading into a room. I walk into the room and it is FILLED with 10 dozen roses... and LOTS of candles. I'm SHAKING!! Theres chapagne on the table and chocolate covered strawberries (which btw--he MADE). Then i look down and theres a LV pocketbook with an "OPEN ME" sign on it. i look into it and theres a piece of cardboard with 2 verses from Proverbs 31 on it (a capable wife..who can find..ect). And then there he is, he walks in to the room from the deck doors attached. He's in a suit! (i thought he was workign all day) He comes close to me... and tells me a few things about how he's so happy that we're together...and i really dont remember b/c at that point i was shaking and tearing up a little. Then... he gets down on one knee... YES! i said!! :-D then he kissed & hugged me... and put the ring on my finger. WE'RE ENGAGED!! Adam Christopher Pepitone & Tina Adriana Morriale are ENGAGED!!!
