The answer is...He just is

Anyways Being I am in the most exclusive Departments in my company (Jetblue Airways), I figured I would give everyone a big heads up as to what the future plans of the company are. This week after my departments meeting with the vice president we found out some good news. There are a lot of new cities being added in the near future that many of you can enjoy. Here is the list of the new airports we will probably be operating from soon. Islip NY, Raleigh-Durham NC, Charlotte NC, El Paso TX, San Antonio TX, Dallas-Fort Worth TX, Houston TX, Cancun MEX, Montego Bay, Melbourne FLA, Miami FLA. JetBlue will be building a terminal at JFK Airport in the next couple of years that will cost about 750 to 800 Million dollars. Some of you may feel this is boring but for someone like me it is really cool. ANYWAYS TIll NExt TiMe

AI Summary

Aviator's airline industry report and his predictions for JetBlue's future expansion sparked a lively discussion about airport experiences, particularly those in the New York area. Tinser and starshiptrooper commended JetBlue's decision to use Islip Airport, citing its convenience and smaller size compared to JFK. Aviator's mention of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey controlling the three major airports in the area led to a brief tangent about the entity's reputation...

awesome! i love flying to/from islip! its so small, its way more convenient

starshiptrooper starshiptrooperOG 2003 ·

we're flying out of there(Islip) TODAY b/c Jet Blue isn't using that airport yet so we are goin on Southwest. I'm really glad Jet blue is gonna use it in the future, I hate goin to JFK!

tinser tinserOG 2002 ·

yeah, jfk is such a production....with islip, you're in and out...almost feels like a private airport

and forget laguardia or newark

starshiptrooper starshiptrooperOG 2003 ·

Jkf would be my second choice, but the other two u metioned-never again!
Much less air traffic with Islip too!

tinser tinserOG 2002 ·

yeah, same thing i said...jfk is do-able. Newark takes forever to get to and you have to pay tolls...i never flew out of it, but my boyfriend did and he got delayed and missed his connection....i guess that could happen anywhere...but it was still a disaster

and laguardia cancelled my flight and lost my luggage...and the employees were cranky and completely uninformative

you know whats interesting? MSN rated JFK, Laguardia, and Newark the 3 worst airports in the country! Yay, for NY travel!

Interesting you mentioned that about those 3 airports. The 3 are all run by the same entity (Port Authority of New York and New Jersey). Many people refer to them as the Government Mafia. Anyways last years report by the airline industry is that the best airline is JetBlue, followed by Continental and Southwest. I would also recommend if you are in Europe flying either Lufthansa or RyanAir. Those airlines are great and not to mention Virgin Atlantic in Europe and Virgin in Australia.

tinser tinserOG 2002 ·

i've flown virgin to england and thought it was completely amazing...best airline ever

southwest and jetblue don't go enough places though! but continental is good

yeah, thats really interesting about them all being owned by the same "entity"...i think somebody needs to run them out of town!

aviator aviatorOG 2004 ·

well yeah. Southwest has been around for like 20 years and is prioritized as a low fare domestic carrier. JetBlue has been around for about 5 years and is still a baby as far as airlines goes. It has a lot of growing to do. However with the addition of 200 aircraft coming to it and revenues that will soar in the billions as far as business goes we are talking about it eventually becoming a top 10 world carrier.

i don't know why anyone would fly in/out of li if they didn't live there.

tinser tinserOG 2002 ·

hence the point...keep all the "city people" away :-)

hunkpapap hunkpapapOG 2003 ·

wow could it be for once there was some sort of genius shown on the island...

tinser tinserOG 2002 ·

hey, hey...we have plenty of genius ideas...but putting two movie theaters across the street from one another in farmingdale was not one of them

superhero superheroOG 2004 ·

also having an island permanantly under construction to cause more gridlock

tinser tinserOG 2002 ·

yeah, seriously...i think 495 has been under construction since i was born

thats why its all about the northern state
