Guilderbell opened for Brant Bjork and the Bros and OWNED! Best perfromance ever. All new stuff. The crowd was very cool and into 'em. A good time was had by all. More people should see them.
THEN after the Bell we decided to get a bite up the street at Rotten Ralph's while some local bands went up on stage and sucked. And right outside the Khyber we saw Questlove from the Roots [drummer]! I wasn't sure if it was him. So, my friend Jesse rolls up on him and asks for his autograph and he got it. Super nice humble guy. Unfortunately he didn't have his trademark afro. He had corn rows. I DID however go on to eat a delicious tuna steak sammich.
After eating we went back to the Khyber to see Brant Bjork and the Bros. We stayed for a few songs and decided to roll. THEN across the street, at a resturant called the Plow and the Stars, we saw a camera crew and a dude with a boom mic. It turns out the new Real World is being filmed in Philly and we saw some of the new cast members actin' silly and making a scene, cussin' and carrying on. We didn't really stop and gawk, we just kind of walked by, but one day you might see our backs while watching some MTV.
We got home too late and I was wrecked for work, but seeing the Bell open up for Brant Bjork and the Bros is an event not to be missed.

You haven't heard me go on and on about the new Real World being in Philly? My sister lives a few blocks away from them and she always tells me any gossip she hears about them. Example: They were in a local bar a few weeks back acting all gay like "We're in the Real World..how cool" so one of the locals threw a chair at them.

They were in her store (a very popular thrift store on South St.) and the one kid was telling one of the girls "Watch I bet I can get this for free" and my sister overheard him say it. So when he came up to buy it all he was like "Yo, do you think I can get this for free" and she got really nasty with him and told him definetly not especially since she just overheard him bragging about how he could.

Haha..I guess I did make it sound like that. It's not her store, she's just been working there a long time. It's called Retrospect and I think its near 7th and on South. It's a really awesome store though cause she goes around to all the other thrift stores in the city and buys the best stuff they have their and then they sell it at Retro. so it usually has only really nice stuff.
i thought the same thing!! that would be cool! when we were younger my friend and i thought about owning a thrift store. we're like we canwear the clothes, wash em and sell em. haha
yeah I don't think i would buy used clothes though... but there's usually SO much cool stuff. Even just to look at. And maybe buy. I wanna check it out.
I usually dont like buying used clothes but she always brings me home such awesome stuff that its hard to refuse.
i like cool vintage-y things, BUT the only thing i don't like is the digging through and looking. i'm not that patient
