Living Aloha
by So I've been living in Hawaii now for a few weeks now and I tell you, I love it. I've finally gotten into snorkling and am conquering my fear of the ocean. I've always had the thought in the back of my head that a shark is going to be there waiting for me. It's still there but I don't allow it to frighten me. I don't look like food as much in the water as I do on the water either on a surf or body board. The other day I was snorkling with some friends and I spotted a sea turtle. It was beautiful and I began to follow him for a bit. The other day I bought a spear and look forward to doing some spear fishing with my room mate. He's caught a few fish and two octopus since I've been here, so it should be fun.
The beaches are gorgeous, the sand is soft, and the water is warm. The people are so nice, we went to see UB 40 Friday and it was cool to see so many nice people, not rude or selfish like back home. I need to find a job now and get out of this vacation party it up lifestyle that I've been living since I've been here. It's so much fun though and I want to be a beach bum when I grow up. I ordered cable the other day so it comes in on the 30th. Hopefully then I'll be around a bit more, I miss you guys and gals, good times. :)

Aw, Jesse...we miss you too! I'm so glad you are enjoying it there. And I'm sorry we'll not get to hang out when Adam and Tyler and I come to the NJ/PA area in a few months. :) But we still love ya. :)

my grandfather always taught me from his days in the marines that if a shark is coming at you to punch it in the nose and it disorients them and goes away. he says it works. i never tried it out but maybe you could do it for me.

i had a dream last night, that i went to Cali for the weekend, and that I saw Jolie in a baseball stadium, but we weren't watching baseball we were all fishing. And me and my friend Heather caught a really big fish.

man i miss it there so much, it was totally home for me, and hearing you talk about it and being there makes me soo sad because i miss it so much. :( I've never felt so good about everything than when i was in hawaii, it honestly just felt like home, and that thats where I belong. I totaly dont feel at home in new jersey, i dont belong here!
It's funny cause when you get off the plane you totally feel like you never left here. It is home.
