I Am Mine

aviator by aviator · Aug 23, 2004 · 131 views · Journal

I am mine uttered the words of a famous songwriter. I could not stop thinking of these words as I recall everything I have been through this year. A new beginning anywhere is always an opportunity to become something you want to be. I want to use this journal to encourage a few of our younger and maybe some older ones on here. I took a job that was for the most part really interesting and cool. But it was affecting me spiritually. I was missing meetings. Even in college I had gotten in the habit of missing them to pursue my education. Something had to change. I really missed being with the brothers and sisters and saying hello to familiar faces. I missed giving talks and handling mic's but most of all I MISSED BEING THERE. I really wanted a job so I could make my meetings and get out more in service.

Well I started to call back a few places in the past that I got turned down from and the strangest thing happened. There was this one job I came within a hair of getting but they picked someone a little more experienced than me. I remember I really liked the people and had even prayed for this one. Anyways I had been praying for a few days to get a new job and so I called this place up. It turns out that the guy who they picked had left the job the day I called in. They were in disbelief that I could call just as they were about to look. Anyways the job is going to allow me to make my meetings it seems and although I am taking a small pay cut I know I am going to be much happier. In fact this job is going to provide me with enough training to get certain COF Licenses for the NYC area. This could allow me to be an engineer at a circuit assembly hall for an assembly or what have you.

I just want the young ones to know that Jehovah is like that. He is just able to provide at the needed time (and believe me I needed it and we all do) and it feels so good for me to know that I will be around the brothers and sisters again. I also want to thank a few of the people on the site who have said some nice things in the past to me on here that were really kind and they are as follows: Violetboregard, Hunkpapap, omegatweeter, socalgal, specialk, iwz, perrin and if i forgot your name I am sorry :(

Paula is awesome. I was a fan when I was younger. I WAS quoting her, because I'd love to dance with Aviator.

That's awesome man! I am so glad things are working out for you. It really is amazing how Jehovah is there for you when you need him, especially if you are doing all you can to please Him. For me personally, it's very much a faith-strengthening thing, and it just makes me love being a part of His organization even more.
I'm also glad to hear that something I've said before has helped, even if it's been in the smallest of ways. Anytime you need that, I'm here. :)

I'm glad I was able to help and be encouraging.:-) It's amazing how Jehovah can work things out for the best. As long as we always strive to put him first he will always bless that effort. The biggest thing is that with every decision that we make big or small we have to make sure we take into consideration how it might affect our service and our relationship to Jehovah. Keeping the postive attitude about things that you seem to have right now will be a big help. I'm happy to have helped and hope to be able to continue to, if you ever need any I'm always around and would be happy to help.
