Check out classic burgandy and heritage red. I'd like to do one of those with the mix-in thing that's like black and gold sparkly texture. My room is shaped pretty awkwardly. /~forrestina/files/bedroom.bmp
I've had the following colors:
A ballerina type pink. I did like this a lot, but I think it's more for a younger person.
Sunflower shade of yellow. This gave me the worst headache every morning. I am not a morning person to start off with and to wake up to blinding brightness wasn't fun.
A very grey lavendar. This color was exremely relaxing. Probably too relaxing. I never wanted to leave my room.
I'm open to suggestions. I'd really like some help with this. I'm not good with this sort of thing because I don't think I could commit to a theme. I grow tired very quickly of a theme. Help me out here creative ones!

That page is confusing Frest
Nevermind..this is fun!!!
hahah everyone has the same reaction. my sam wanted me to go look at it and i was ahhh what do i do.
ugh i used to have gray lavender b/c my mom liked it. i hated it. in my room it looked more gray than lavender and it was so drab & depressing.
when i did the gray/lavendar. i did like the color but then my mom went buck wild with decorative stuff and i'm like please just stop coordinating everything.
2005-20= Hot Apple Spice
2074-30= Twilight Magenta
2076-10= Crushed Velvet
2083-30= Old Caret
2166-10= Gold Rush
burgendy is nice. i like deep, rich colors. and it is pretty versatile if you wanted to do any kind of border. greens and blues in a border would look good w/ burgundy. oh i love it i want to be an interior decorator. hire me freste!
hired!
seriously, if you want me to go w/ you one day i will.
awesome thanks! i just might take you up on that.
i got excited...i thought this was for your bedroom in my house, but no...its for your apt. are you planning to keep nanas furniture? if so, you should mention that its stained very dark brown.
yea im never giving that furniture up
i thought that room is going to be white....
its going to be white bc m&d just arent paying the upcharge to get colored paint but we can paint it ourselves.
i gotta see the room before i pick out a color.
all colors that i looked at. how odd! i like hot apple spice a lot.
this was supposed to reply to #4. silly computer.
It's because we're the same person on some level.
Love you, bunny!
im kind of thinking of commissioning someone to paint a mural on my closet doors since i hate them so much. i wish i could just take them down and put up a curtain. i don't think my landlord would like that.
OH! I would do it!
hehe this is something a few girls have volunteered for. jacqui marra is an art major. then of course sammy tymon. and now you! maybe i'll turn this into an episode of designer's challenge.
we could all work on it!
teamwork! i'm really open about mural ideas.
well what will make you feel calm? do you want to stare at a beach, mountains, woods, sky, night sky, some other scenery? do you want people or animals in it?
no people. if there are animals, only like 1 or 2 maybe. with the colors i'm thinking of. i was thinking of like the beach at night maybe with the moon on the water.
ooh yes, that would be very nice. and fairly easy since there wouldn't be a lot of colors involved
with a bonfire??!?! eh? eh?
GREAT IDEA
this is SO much fun Frest! I actually did a "while you were out" for my friends parents when they went away. We complately redid their kitchen!
Anywayz, I'm lovin' 825-Blue Nova
awesome why doesn't someone do that for me my door is always unlocked haha
that's a very bahamas color i think.
I love deep blues with white crown molding..I wish! but anyways, what's the style of your furniture? I can't get a grasp on the direction your going.
my furniture is antique it's 90+ years old now. it's very very dark. i have two pieces. one is a tall dresser with skinny legs. it has two doors concealing a shelf with two drawers under it. the other dresser is shorter and wider. i've removed the mirror (because i need to replace it) but i do have it. it has two drawers side by side and then two long drawers underneath. this also has the skinny legs. it might not be stylish but it's was my nana's (great gram) and i won't change it or get rid of it. my bed is a day bed. it's painted this yuck mossy green. it is super high bc i put a boxspring under my mattress. i keep a mattress under for when girls crash over. i have no attachment to this bed. it wasn't mine to begin with. also i have a bar/cart style piece that i put all my cds on. and for now i threw one of the chairs in there that may be part of the couch i'm building for the everything else room.
I like 1274-Warm Earth
very fem. haha i can't say what i'm thinking it's extremely vulgar.
thanks for the suggestion tho. pretty color.
HAHA but is it just me or does the palette color change when you apply it to the picture? another one 539-sycamore
hmm i would never pick that...
:( I'm sorry. I'm no help. I used to be so good at this. Maybe I need to be there.
it's not you it's me. i think someone def needs to stand in my room bc it is so odd to help make a choice. and also to know what a nutjob i am helps a lot.
hey, you told me there are no boundaries on ezabel. under your tutelage, ive been labeled an ezabel hussy. spill it, vulgar girl.
Oh my! you are NOT a hussy. think crimson wave.
crimson wave is the new code red is the new regular red
i have chili pepper red in my room. i like it. i like it a lot.
First guy to post again...
my suggestion... screw all these fancy smancy colors... put tarp on the floor and ceiling, and just throw colors everywhere.... ive wanted to do that for YEARS!
practice in the saturn
hahaha... that would spruce it up a bit...
ha im not that modern
Mike, you're just the only guy on this site that's down.
down? like... got the low down? or down as in depressed enough to post on a painting journal?
aww you're depressed? wait a minute..mr. manipulation!
Down as in down for whatever.
hahaha, mr. manipulation!?!? hahah down for whatever... hmm i dunno if i like this title...
Bri says your mom's down for whatever.
your granmdma is down for whatever...
what's a granmdma anyway? She's dead.
thats not what your mom said... last night... when i asked her out to DINNER AND A MOVIE! ohhhhhhhhhhhh
And she turned your punkbutt down, called your mommy and retrieved naked baby pics of you that me and Brian intend to spread ALL OVER THE EZABEL COMMUNITY! (I'm sorry forrest!)
it's true. she's so...giving. hope we didn't keep you up, 'lana.
*sitting back with utter satisfaction after this comment*
uh-oh. she didn't stop by YOUR room later that night did she?! what a BEAST!
HAHAHAHA, aww man... im cringing if iwz ventures in here...
white-out anyone?
me too, actually. you better kill it before he strolls in and drops and breaks his stone tablets.
i think it might draw his attention.. .just pretend like none of this EVER happened... **starts whistling casually....**
**checks watch**
*whispers* oh no, he just mused.
or down like down-low?
hm, like shimmy shimmy cocco puffs...
hahahaha, i dont recommend hand painting though
uh,I get bored real quick too, im used to painting every 6 months or so, only since ive been married have i not done that. SOOO if you plan on changing colors cause you think you will get bored of it, make sure its not to dark of a color cause it will take more paint to cover it, just fyi cause its also more time consuming to cover dark colors, or tectured paints. like the sued finish by ralh lauren, I absolutly LOVE IT, i have it in my hallways, but i know when i move out i will hate repainting it cause it is textured.
my dads a painter so I actually have alot of experience with color and all that jazz. plus i painted my room over ALOT.
so I can help out some what, if youd like.
good point thanks for the suggestion. =) i'm open to ideas...
select a good primer. you can cut down more than 1/2 the time on how long it takes to paint dark over white or vice versa.
if you're painting a dark color over white, primer will also help smooth it out so you don't see so much imperfection
thanks! someone at work said. do not buy cheap paint. i was like well thank you for that wise suggestion. =P
although ralph lauren is $$$ its REALLY thick, took one coat to cover white with dark blue in a ~10x10 room
i'll remember that =)
yeah the primer, its a life saver!
