by So..Ben, Sammy and I went out and ate at Fudruckers on 46 in Parsippany tonight. When leaving the parking lot I stopped to wait for an opening in the uncoming traffic. Just as I am about to go I glimpse something out of the corner of my eye just as Sammy yells "BIKER!" I slam on the breaks and freak out as a foreign man riding a bicycle and wearing all black comes flying towards my car (fortunately he slowed down a little bit) and HITS IT! BAM- he goes flying into the windshield/passenger window. It was a terrifying sight. We shout and ask if he's okay and he just kind of smiles and nods, looking a bit shaken, and rides off! Like..what are you supposed to do in such a situation? I was stunned and Ben had to talk me out of my shock and point out that traffic had ebbed again so it was time to get a move on. I made sure there wasn't anybody in my way this time.

Yeah, he was riding against traffic. My dad says that area has a lot of problems with things like this happening. Like, it's an epidemic or something.

This happened to me a couple months ago, in Atlantic City i was making a right turn and a guy was going against traffic and SLAMMED into the side/front of my car. Scariest thing ever.

this happened to me a few years back. this mexican guy just comes out of nowhere and hit my car with his bike. It was a good thing i was making my turn rather slowly (so unusual for me) and there he was plowing into my car. I get out of my car and ask him if he was ok (i was on the verge of tears) and apologizing like there's no tomorrow.
so he starts yelling at me in spanish, about dumb americanized mexicans etc. so of course being the feisty latina that i am i start raising my voice at him in spanish and telling him i was going to call immigration to send him back to mexico....he took off so fast, he was just a blur. it was SO funny.
