Last Night
10:15 :
With the wife in saying that shes going to crash, i figured, eh why not... put on a few extra layers and drove out to the local gamestop.
10:20 :
Pull up to Gamestop and survey the scene. About 15 or so kids smoking and drinking coffee outside in the freezing cold
10:45 :
With my hoodie up and my prepaid VIP slip in my pocket, i shuffle up to the VIP line about 20 or so kids back from the door. Everyones pretty loud, music playing and alot of people chatting about taking off of school/work the next day... pretty amusing.
11:15 :
haha wrong line... VIP slips in THAT line... as kids slowly grumble about moving... I run to the other line... SWEET... 5 kids away from the door.
11:30 :
Hunkapapap joins me with much appriciated gifts of hot chocolate... I cant feel my feet now...
11:55 :
Tensions building... slips all handed out, around 50 people or so gathered. So begins teenage rebellion. Some kids start to try to "riot". I laugh at them and sip my hot chocolate and smirk at the glares of hatred focused on the back of my head.
12:00 :
Pandamonium, Cell phones say 12 o'clock, nerds in the store say 11:59, More teenage rebellion at its finest, i laugh some more, and finish my hot chocolate.
12:03 :
Im in the store, ahhh the warmth... got my game... HEADING HOME!!!!

This is SOOOO cute, you guys are so squishy like a pair of Halo 2 playin Teddy bears he he he
u are so ghey. but actually i was still up til late last night. shoulda joined you guys and continually told u how dumb you are. not to mention 1/2 of the boys in my class are absent because they're playing.
highly enjoyed this story
I stood in line at the mall for an hour with Brian and a friend from our hall. It was nerd fest 2004. Most of these guys didn't have girlfriends. The guys working at Babbages were pacing up and down the line of VIP's. They were more excited than those waiting for the game. I wonder what they will do when the Star Wars prequel finally hits the screen...
The losers in line started chanting "EB stinks" and then started the count-down 2 mins before the doors open. As some left the store they held their game up in the air like an Olympic gold medal. Only the respectable gamers sped out of the store, hurrying to pop the game into their X Box.
This event ranks up their with the tractor pull I attended a few years ago. Good times and good laughs.
what a CHAMP for standing in line with your BF!!! I bow to you! thats awesome!!!
yeah seriously.. rock on... lol there was like 1 girl in the line, and i think she was a gamer soo
yes. this is good and nice.
best. girlfriend. ever.
i will teach you to play halo, babe. as long as we only do co-op. i know you don't like killing our friends in the blood gulch. just the aliens.
see, now that's an experience you'll never forget, rock on
The boy next to me in Lit was falling asleep because he had been up all night playing. He showed me pics he took with his digi at the Rockaway Mall.
the great halo2 rush of '04! We were there dude! Did that make us losers?
do you guys have pictures of this cuz then it'd be really funny.
it's funny waking up and looking around trying to decide what really went on in my apartment last night....my camera was left out, floor cleaner in the living room, mop leaning against the wall and my computer (in the room where I was sleeping) was moved around. What did I miss?
yo my friend was like, "You guys party on a school night!?"
line from the new guy....
