dissapointing/amazing weekend

malibu by malibu · Dec 6, 2004 · 180 views · Journal

this weekend ahd the mostinteresting mess of emotions ever.

so saturday i awake super early to retake the SAT's. i think i did a million times better on this one than last time. but when i get there, there's these kids from 7th grade taking them!! am i dumb or are they just really smart?

after this report tot the school because our exchange students from spain are coming!!!! how pumped am i??? they are all amazing and really nice. but after we pick them up at the airport, we go to the bus since we are going to tailgate at giants stadium because our team, lenape valley patriots, are fighting to be the state champions. so the bus won't start. after 1 hour of waiting port autohority police come to arrest us for congregating in too public a place and they jump start the bus.

we made it to the game. all the spanish kids didn't understand it, since in spain they don't have football. but they told us they hope we win. unfortunately we didnt'. i couldn't believe it. we had it all the way to the end. we lost in a double overtime when they kicked an amazingly distance field goal. we were ahead in the second half, until they team started making big mess ups. kbut ya know, senior year to win state championships, never thought to see so many people crying without someone dying. especially boys. but i guess something did die.

whenever you have the chance to make friends with people from other countries, do it!!! they are so awesome. only major difference noticed so far in their trip: none of the girls wear belts. ever. but i don't know. it don't matter if their underwear is hanging out to them. just a difference. anyways, this is sure to be followed by my interesting experiences of traveling to spain.

another notice: i thought maybe it was a racism thing, my thinking that all spanish kids are good at soccer but it really isn't. in gym today, i was awestruck at the move these kids pull. the girls too were better than 2/3rds of my regular class.

I think my high school was state football champion the year I was supposed to graduate, but I graduated a year early, when we came in dead last. I was one of the young kids that took the SAT's in 8th and 9th grades. You're not dumb, though, I was just precocious.

me too! but i never went to school or anything. not even high school. so i dont really know what was the point in taking it. i have a ged. i would never recommend that. learn better do better.

weird. I say everyone should go to school. even if you hate it and get picked on every day. it builds character.

well, i think i got picked on enough in grammer and middle school to last a lifetime. anymore and i would have been institutionalized or conformed. i do regret the educational opportunities i passed up. if i didnt have to work fulltime, i would def consider going to school. although, when i was working part time i pioneered instead of that. im sort of talking in circles arent i? idk what i want to do. i have no direction in my secular life.

sorry to hear that. I was just joking though. I'm sure there's plenty of cases where taking a kid out of school is a good idea.

so im scarred for life. big deal. who isnt? i think with a little encouragement from my folks i would have continued schhol, but i wouldnt have been able to pioneer as soon as i did so...idk. its all a balancing act.

and dodgeballl. they had never played it and now they are rockin at it. they take hits to the face without having a problem as long as it helps the team. its astounding.
