My London Comedy Debut !!!

[.. was lastnite, so you all missed it!]

My failage at trying to bring folke together for ice skating at Marble Arch worked at to an enjoyable evening for me anyway. I headed over to Leicester Square like I do, when I'm looking for something to do, because it's there that you'll have these leafleters handing out flyers for comedy at so and so pub. So purposely seeking out where some comedy was gonna be, after getting a flyer, I found myself going to "The Round Table" pub, nearby to Leicester Square, off Charing Cross Road, hidden down St. Martins Ct.

Anytime when I've gone to these comedy nights at pubs, they've always managed to be full house. But, this night, at this particular pub, there was low attendence. Apologising to the audience, our money that was collected was even offered back to us, if we felt we weren't getting our money's worth.. because of the attendence being low, they'd still put on the show, but a shortened version of each one on the lineup. Being an intimate setting, the first comic took the inititive to talk to each one of us in the audience. When talking to me, I must've caught him off-guard, cracking some humour of my own.. and it was grreat because the audience seemed to love it as well. I was like wow, nnice.

It was fantastic, they actually told me I should come back for a proper audition, and subsequently come back to do an act. In fact, they wanted to put me up after the comics scheduled for the night were finished with their bits. I told them the bummed out news that I actually was off to the States the next Wednesday. They said so come back. haha I said, yeh, I'll hafta. I want to.

Well, after all the comics finished, all of them cheered me on to be in an improv scene with two of the comics. I didn't feel so much confident as to do so, but after more build-up from the audience, I went up. The scene was a Spanish Princess shopping at a high street toy store. One of the comics played an employee, and the other played the Princess, and I played the part of the Princess' bodyguard. It was good fun. A good laugh.

When the show closed, we gave all the comics, applause, after the MC mentioning each one. Then, the MC said, "and now let's hear it for Robbie" Awesome stuff. haha

As if the night couldn't go better, one comic after the show, chatted with me for awhile and said, so you do comedy? I went, oh I was joking before about how I just started in comedy myself. I really haven't done any. To my surprise he said you should tho do some stand-up. And, then we talked a bit more. And well, that's that. It turned out not to be a wasted day afterall, but an evening of grreat laughs and fun.
