Bomb Scare
This morning was insane. I got up late and ran through the house grabbing things cause i had to get ready for school. I was putting my shirt on and i hear my sister yell to me that the bus is at the stop. So i ran out the door leaving all of my books on the computer desk and just made the bus. As soon as we got on the bus radio thing starts going off like crazy and after listening to it for a minute our driver says "You never should have gotten on the bus." Then she proceeds to tell us that there was been a bomb scare at Lenape and we are not allowed to go to school. It was 7 oclock when this happed and she was supposed to take us to a church somewhere near the school and just leave us there until 9 o'clock. Thats 2 hours of sitting in a church parking lot. But our bus driver thankfully decides not to follow orders and tells us after she tells the kids she is supposed to pick up after us theres not school, shes just gonna drop us off. She goes to the last stop and one of the girls there is a junior but with her is 3 spanish exchange students. As soon as the door is opened they all start to get on but the bus driver stops them and is like No theres no school. and the girl is like, what do you mean theres no school,
driver: There was a bomb threat, school is closed.
girl: no you dont understand i have 3 spanish exchange students with me we have to go to school. driver: there is no school.
girl: are you sure? can you check.. are you sure?
driver: yes im sure it just came in on the radio.
girl: but we have to go to school.
driver: there is no school. you have to go home.
And the driver closed the doors and dropped everyone else off and we have to rest of the day off.

Wow. Crazy. I'm glad you're ok. There were constantly bomb threats when I was in school too. We never got a day off, though. I'm jealous.
yeah i was thinkin the same thing. One time they made us stand outside in the freezing cold without our coats (in the middle of class) for like a half hour. No day off though. I guess times have changed.
Yeah! They did that with us too. There was an epidemic the week after - something like 75% of the kids were out sick. Who's fault was that?
lol, crazy board of education nazis
thats what they usually do. but we suspect that they only cancelled it cause the sexy spanards are here.
We had chemical spills and a fire..both times making us stand outside. It was so hott that a few kids passed out.
I didn't go to school the day we had a bomb scare..it was Columbine's anniversary and I refused to go to school because I had offended too many people in my HS career.
I think we had a mild explosion in the chemistry lab once. teacher's fault, he forgot to place some chemicals under the hood and the fumes pooled and had a reaction. something like that.
i was just talking to someone whose mom is the school secratery and he said they found a bomb in the school.
Really? An actual bomb? That's a little scary. I wonder if they'll find out who did it.
well he said thats what all of the fauclty is saying.. i know im a little scared to go back monday
The faculty can sometimes be just like the students with rumors. Wait and see if there's an article in the paper about it this weekend. I'm sure that'll have the truth.
they is supposedly news cameras there. plus the bus driver also told us that yesterday morning every bus had slashed tires.
That could just be a prank, though. Kids are stupid. As long as no one gets hurt. They don't realize that the money to buy new tires comes from the schools which ultimately takes away from the money given to students and could even raise taxes. I got so mad about stuff like that when I was in school. There are so many idiots in the world. And Sussex County.
maybe some kids were playing Assault the base neutral bomb at the school..
My high school had a bunch of bomb threats in the spring time. Ya know, those nice sunny days when nobody wanted to be inside. Thankfully some dofus usually sacrificed himself and made an anonymous call so they would cancel school. Suspension was only a small price to pay.
