I wanna do whatever I want
by I was just thinking about this lately, how people get all rebellious because they wanna "do whatever they want"
I remember being in a 6th grade health class and discussing what we wanna be and everyone kept saying they wanna be 18 or 21 so they can "Do whatever they want" - yeah i was probably one of the ones saying it ... so i can totaly understand the feeling.
Well.. the truth is you will NEVER really get to do whatever you want. So while you're on this planet you might as well do the right thing. Because then at least you can live in a certain amount of peace. (not to mention the obvious reasons and everlasting benefits... you know.. like the "never dying" thing. Kinda cool.)
Right now, I wanna do whatever I want. What do I want? I wanna be on a beach getting a tan
I can't do what I want, because it's 25 degrees outside. And I have to work. And it costs money to go somewhere warm. And I can't take time off from work. So, NO, I can't do whatever I want, even though I'm 25 and old and married and out of my parents house haha
As much fun as it would be to be tanning on a beach right now, I can use common sense to realize how stupid it would be for me to get all rebellious right now, storm out of my job, get a plane ticket to the Bahamas and go fly out there so that I can go to the beach. Sure I'd get what I want... but the long-term consequences - I'd be out of work, out of money, and .. it's just dumb.
So yeah, do the right thing kiddies. Do the right thing. It's good for you.
Also be happy that you don't live in a country where bombs are blowing up outside your door every day. And every day that you go to school you might not return, or you might never see your parents or friends again. Appreciate what you've got instead of yearning for things you can't have! That is my philosopheee

I luv this and it's VERY true!!! the thing is we CAN do whatever we want, but not without consequences. we dont HAVE TO go to work, but we do cause we'll be homeless, we don't HAVE TO go to meetings, but if we don't we'll lose out on love and eternal life....etc.
ya.. everyone wants different things, and those things aren't always good. The difference is when you think about the consequences, and then choose your course of action - instead of acting first.
