UPDATE:The Thing About Costa Rica
The True Locals are the friendliest people in the world, the people still trying to get residency think they own the beach.
Ahh Costa Rica Costa Rica was an interesting place, music from morning till you fell asleep
Warm weather every day, blue clear skys to wake up to,with the sound of parrots saying Hola, Helooo.
Warm water at most of the beaches except witches rock- arcticly cold, but refreshing.
The roads are horrendous; beyond horrendous really, more potholes make up the road than actual road. Made driving an adventure in itself
The dirt roads crazzzyyyyyyyy.
Cowboys on their horses just riding along.
People walking on the roads everywhere its amazing there are not more deaths.
There is probably a 8 dog to person ratio out there just trotting along anywhere.
Machete fights wish I could have seen.
Spanish the language in which I do not speak but should being as I am Puerto Rican. Made it fun when the locals started to talk to me because they didn’t understand the English person in my group as if id be able to translate. They always turned to me speaking Spanish. I need to learn.
I was known to everyone in the town for some reason, EVERYONE knew me, my name and asked where my cowboy hat was, ha ha, they were cool.
Well anyway here are some photos from the trip I’ll have little captions aside them.
Oh and a pretty fun adventure we had was an all day thing up in one of the mountains where we zip lined from tree to tree, then went horseback riding up the mountain to see some waterfalls then stopped us at a spa in the middle of nowhere to relax in natural hot springs , have a mud bath , very very nice and very relaxing. Then hop back on the horses to make it to the main cabin to eat dinner, the BEST mahi mahi I ever had! It was unreal. The horseback riding SUCKED, it was something I never wanted to do horses don’t fascinate me in one bit never wanted to ride one, it sucked, I was in so much pain. Oh while me and another kid stopped half on the horse trip (heading to the spa) our friends went up more said it was Redic, and they did water sliding or something like that, sounded fun!(REDIC-( half of ridiculous)- was the word out there as well as Tortuga)
Here is where most of the digital files are uploaded, I have many many awesome film photos to still scan in and upload, but have fun.

Costa Rica is a crazy place though, ha ha.
Awesome journal HOT MOMMA!
hahaha yeah the road to quepos along he shore is crazy-kinda like a pile of boulders strewn in a path. i loved costa rica and i thought the food down there was great-best arroz con pollo and pina coladas i ever had. i would love to go back.
todd, jesse was saying you guys want to move down there.
I found there rice to be very undercooked. We were in Tamarindo & around. Where had you been? WE didnt think it was any where near as tastey as the spanish/mexican food we know.
oh man now i can't remember the town we were in, but we were in tamarindo and all along the coast as far as manuel antonia.
the food is def different than what we are used to here-andrew was weirded out by the hamburgers, but I stuck w/ spanish dishes
ha ha, yeah i tried a hamburger too , i think the word would be Festive, ha ha it tasted like taco mix in a hamburger. After a few trys I had to give up on trying the spanish food because of the hard rice.
hahahaha that is exactly what andrew said about the burger too-taco meat
OMG i had no idea you were going to costa rica also! those pictures are AWESOME!
sounds like you guys had a good time! =)
Yeah we left December 12th. It was a cool experience. Costa Rica is a different place, I really miss the people there.
So cool, I was in Costa Rica from December 24 - 28. Very brief trip, but had such a good time. It's so festive there. And they didn't make a big deal out of Christmas either.
So you did the canopy tour! That rocks! I want to do that next time.
Fortunately me and my sister both speak Spanish, and they weren't lying in teh books when they said nobody there speaks English. Ticos speak spanish really smoothly, so they are really easy to understand too. And they add "tico" to the end of everything. It was kind of funny.
