Changes

flomojopoanode by flomojopoanode · Nov 20, 2005 · 490 views · · · Journal

Well, it's not news that I'm not a huge fan of changes. Some changes are good. Some are bad. Most make me feel uncertain.

My life has had big changes and is in store for some more big changes. I've recently changed my job, which has made another change in my life possible. I'm moving out this week with our very own Funky Fresh, and in January I'm planning on switching to the Spanish Congregation.

While I'm excited about all this things, I am still nervous about it all. Everything I ever I have ever known will change. My job, my home, and my congregation - all different. Time will tell how I adjust to all these changes, but I hope so much that I don't make anyone crazy and that everything works out great.

Any suggestions or words of wisdom for me?

enjoy every minute of it! this is time to "right" the "wrongs" and start being who you need to be....and in case something may not seem to go as planned, go with it, maybe your "plan" may have not been what you needed.

theremin thereminOG 2002 ·

Go with the flo.
Pun intended.

socalgal socalgalOG 2003 ·

It took me literally all day long to get this. :(

I hate being sick

I predict lots of good times in your future. You just may be embarking on the time of your life.

theremin thereminOG 2002 ·

You had Chinese for lunch, didn't you?

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 ·

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 ·

i predict two guys will have spanish wives in a lil while. watch.

reaf reafOG 2002 ·

Ha ha ,, Can I have part in this?? This is a really good prediction.

superhero superheroOG 2004 ·

you're already married - what part could you possibly have?

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 ·

yes, i accept your endorsement of this prediction. it'd be funny if they married some other white girls who learned spanish too. bahahaha!

hunkpapap hunkpapapOG 2003 ·

Speaking of changes, i think you and matt should stop denying your true feelings. Once me and mike accepted our true feelings for each other, we were better men..

flomojopoanode flomojopoanodeFounder ·

thanks guys. I should just relax, it's going to be fine. I'm sure.

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder ·

RELAX!!!!!!

haha... it's gonna be a lot of fun todd! embrace the changes! I'm kinda unsure about moving out too, but I know it's gonna be fun

reaf reafOG 2002 ·

Oh I'm really excited for you! We all need change sometimes! These sound like all really good changes! & I am jealous you are that good to be switching to a spanish congregation! Anytime you keep jehovah in anything you do it will always turn out fine. It'll be GREAT!

mandie mandieOG 2001 ·

i think everyones nervous when they first move out. its completely normal to feel that way i think. you'll be fine.

web-toedchloe web-toedchloeOG 2001 ·

Congrats on your new pad! You guys'll have tons of fun.

ekulu ekuluOG 2002 ·

theremin thereminOG 2002 ·

Moving out's a lot of fun, just be good.

specialk specialkOG 2003 ·

Change can be a blessing in disguise. I've found you do a lot of growing in your 20's, mentally and emotionally. This may help that growth period for you. You'll figure out a lot about yourself when you challenge yourself the way you are, and I think that's great. You get more of a sense of what you want, and it helps you to know yourself better.

Now I'm rambling.....bottom line, you'll have fun, and it will be good for you. Enjoy it. I'm happy for you. :)

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder ·

thanks mom :)

seriously though, thank you

specialk specialkOG 2003 ·

No problemo. Hahah, and I guess I am partly the mom of the group....self-proclaimed, of course.

You can accomplish anything with good motives and Jehovah's help. Also, Ramen is 9 for $1.00 at Shop-Rite.

thatdarngirl thatdarngirlOG 2002 ·

Heck yeah!! I love me Ramen.

malibu malibuOG 2001 ·

hahahah. so encouraging on the two most basic levels. spiritual and food.

thatdarngirl thatdarngirlOG 2002 ·

Ramen is really good if you make a simple stir-fry and then just put the noodles in with it.

web-toedchloe web-toedchloeOG 2001 ·

Ha! I must've had ramen for lunch every day one summer when I was like 12 or 13. My faves were beef and shrimp.

flomojopoanode flomojopoanodeFounder ·

This is definitely good to know about. So far, though, we've got speghetti coming out our ears. Can't wait to eat it all, we haven't had a chance, yet.

thatdarngirl thatdarngirlOG 2002 ·

If you guys need any furniture tell me..I'm good at keeping my eye open for stuff on the side of the road!

superhero superheroOG 2004 ·

i could use a sharper image massage chair. please keep a watchful eye.

thatdarngirl thatdarngirlOG 2002 ·

Me first dude.

flomojopoanode flomojopoanodeFounder ·

we could use a couch...

thatdarngirl thatdarngirlOG 2002 ·

You guys should actually take a drive down to Philly to my sister's store. It's a thrift/vintage store and they always have good furniture.

web-toedchloe web-toedchloeOG 2001 ·

We're looking to replace our ikea couch:

http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?topcategoryId=15585&catalogId=10103&storeId=12&productId=18371&langId=-1&parentCats=15585*15770*15944

It's small, but it's in good condition.

And I'm also hoping to replace a matte black finish entertainment center we're using, which I hate. It's pretty big, but it comes apart easily. Do you want us to keep you in mind?

ekulu ekuluOG 2002 ·

So have u guys moved already? Did u or r u gonna have housewarming?

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder ·

yeah we moved in the other day

jp jpOG 2003 ·

i see no changes, wake up in the mornin and i ask myself is life worth livin, should i blast myself

ok thats not really words of wisdom, seeing as pac ended up getting blasted anyway.

but im sure you guys will have fun, and changing to spanish is impressive. thats awesome.

beachbum beachbumOG 2002 ·

moving out on your own is fun and kinda like being on vacation for a while....until you realize those dirty towels don't magically pick themselves up and you really don't have as much money as you thought you did. j/k. you guys will love it. for real though, the real world can be a tough place at first-beware of strangers with candy looking for their lost puppies.

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003 ·

hm i didn't comment on this. Moving out on your own is the best.

I had a similar experience where everything around me changed, job, congregation, living quarters, friends, etc. twice in one year actually, and it was pretty crazy, But it's great, change is good.

i wish you guys all the best!

flomojopoanode flomojopoanodeFounder ·

All these changes seem okay so far. The only problem is, I'm suddenly much worse about forgetting stuff. Like today. I forgot my meeting clothes for the mbookstudy tonight--I go straight from work. So I get to work only to realize I forgot my lunch and book for the bookstudy. So annoying. I gotta try to leave work early to get it. Maybe I'll eat my packed lunch for dinner.

Love my room, though. I love living with matt, too, so far. I have so much fun. I knew that part wouldn't be a mistake. Yesterday he dethroned me from the ping pong champ master pongest spot that I had for a whopping 2 days.

Actually the first game I beat him, but the next one he keeled me. I had to show him what's up, but it wasn't easy. But I managed to win the next 2 matches. One was SO close. He totally should have had me. Tonight, Mike is gonna try to de throne me, but he hasn't got a prayer. Sucka.

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder ·

you are too kind, i think out of like 10 games I've beaten you twice. I had other chances to win but I need to improve my skillz

flomojopoanode flomojopoanodeFounder ·

I think you beat me 3 times, and you gave me a run for my money 3 more times. For some reason we both play better on the one side of the table. I don't know why, but it makes a huge difference, didn't it?

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder ·

we gotta move it downstairs where there's more room

socalgal socalgalOG 2003 ·

i think you guys need an air hockey table!!!!

flomojopoanode flomojopoanodeFounder ·

I saw some good ones on sale for 150! But I'd much rather play pingpong.

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder ·

i want to get a foosball table, todd doesn't like it, but i think i can get him to change his mind :)

flomojopoanode flomojopoanodeFounder ·

oh? I only hate Foosball because I'm terrible at it. I get very aggrevated playing it.

socalgal socalgalOG 2003 ·

if you had one then you can totally practice and kick everyone's bootay thereafter!

R
rocksupastarFounder ·

socalgal socalgalOG 2003 ·

hunkpapap hunkpapapOG 2003 ·
