SCHOOLED!!!!!
Yeah, so tonight my 6 year-old schooled me. We're sitting at dinner, and I'm venting about something that happened, and in the process, make a comment about how in my mind, this other person I'm venting about has no room to talk, because I understand the situation and they don't(in reference to the subject of my frustration).
Follow that?
Anyways, Tyler busts in by saying, word for word, "Mommy, you shouldn't brag about yourself, not even in your head. It says so in my Great Teacher book. Jehovah can still hear you, even if you're thinking it."
Shamed by my kid.....how embarrasing.
Have you guys ever been venting about something, not even really paying attention, and had someone else point out to you that you're in need of some adjustment in your thinking? Not that this was a first for me....I'm far from perfect in my thinking, sometimes. It's just a little rough when it's your kid who is teaching you.
*And as a side note, I am EXTREMELY proud of him for remembering all that, and I told him so*

awww that is so cute!!! it's awesome how well they really pay attention at meetings and what you teach them!
ha ha at first i thought you were referring to feef's comment!
stop calling me FEEF!
you started it by calling me fee fee and thats not my name its yours
haha is Muffy better? Or Lyss? I like "Alyss.". that's my favorite.
ugh!!! i hate it. just stick with muffy, or muffles, or muffs, or muffster, or........ wait let me think a sec............... oh yeah Alyssa!
I know. It's amazes me all the time. I mean, he told his teacher he was a Witness before we had a chance to talk to her. He was all "I can't say the Pledge of Allegiance because I'm a Jehovah's Witness." On the first day of school, no less.
aw man i totally admire that kid!!! that is really cool!!! good job in raising your son to be "in fear" of jehovah!!!
hearing about these kids being brave adn standing up to the world totally encourages me! it's so hard for them now-a-days with bullies etc and they still keep their little stand...and sometimes as adults we dont stand up enough.
i wanna take tyler out for a beer
Hey, he's game. His might be of the "Root" variety, but whatever.
or. he's just a man wanting the women to stop complaining because video games are way cooler to talk about
